Ive gone to Siquijor before and i loved it there. Im planning to go back this year. I love the beach and the island is peaceful. It is really different from the city. I could get my fresh air and fresh coconuts. Have you been there?

No, I haven't been there yet, but that is one of the places I'd like to go to sometime in the future. An aunt of mine once lived there and she said she liked it there. I'm also intrigued by the stories, spooky stories, about that place!

I guess those stories are what make the island interesting. Even as a child I've been intrigued by the island. I'll convince my friends that we'll take a trip there next!

no i've never been there, but i've heard about tales of witches and the likes. . . not that i'm mocking the place or the people there, but i think it would be really amusing to find out, if they are true?? not that i believe in such things, but i'd like to... ;p

It intrigued and that how i find out about it in the first place. The local says the witches and stuff are in the mountainous areas. More on faith healers and some claimed to be witches. But really dont believe in those and when I got there. I totally neglect those stuff, I just enjoyed the beach.

I wanted to go somewhere but I don't know where, since you posted this discussion, I got curious. How do you get there? How much would an ordinary tourist spend? There's a lot of places in the country that I haven't seen Hopefully, one day I would.

You can get there via Cebu or Dumaguete. It costs around 400php one way via these routes. The accomodation would i think cost you around 2kphp and up per night. Depending on the place to stay. Here are some links that might help. www.siquijor.gov.ph... Also this blog ive found http://www.squidoo.com/siquijor-trip.
We took the Dumaguete route. We ride a bus from Cebu to Tampe then we take a 15min boat ride to dumaguete. Then from dumaguete another 45min boat ride to Siquijor. I enjoy it that way because I get to see more the Siquijor. The cost for that one way trip is around 400php or less.
