Red rings of death!

This is an urgent matter my friends. I am a game freak. I play it all. Call of duty black ops, Halo Reach, Madden 11, any game you name it. Over the past few weeks my original xbox has been getting the half red rings of death. Just today as I got home from the gym my world was turned upside down. I turn my beloved xbox on and to my disbelief I see full red rings. I have tried to put cold rags on it. I have tried to put it near a fan but nothing has worked. I have asked my friends and they have all said the same thing. None of their advice has helped. My xbox is a key part of my life. I need it to live. If any of you kind souls out there know how to solve this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Firstly unless this is the new model of 360, the red ring warranty is 3 years, most often the cause of a red ring is overheating, which can be corrected with as simple a fix as using some cardboard to control airflow inside the console, though you say you've tried cooling methods to no avail, other fixes could include replacing your a/v cable (if they fail it can cause the system to red ring as it has no functioning display).
Unfortunately without knowing what the exact cause of your red rings the best that can be done here is speculate, if your machine is less than three years old I suggest warranty service, otherwise look for a reasonably priced local technician.

Dear friend firstly a warm welcome to the world of Mylot. I think you should take your X-Box to a nearby technician or to a friend who also play games on X-box or better if you have the customer care no you can call them and if your warranty period is not expired then they can repair your X-Box at free of Cost...........
