I've always found it interesting but had only seen very short clips on TV. So when a sumo exhibition came to New York's Madison Square Garden a couple of years ago I went to it. It wasn't they really heavy guys, more like 300- 500 lbs. And most of the wrestlers weren't Japanese, they were European. I don't know how representative this exhibition was of the sport in general, but I enjoyed it.

It isn't actually very well known in Europe in general, we there are just excited about our wrestler Kaido Höövelson (the Japanese are calling him Baruto) who in very short time got into their highest league. Unfortunately the poor boy got another injury about a week ago.

As I'm from Estonia, I know about Baruto and his great debut in sumo. But unfortunately I haven't had any chance to see him on tv, although I would like to. Never thought that estonians can be so successful in such sport.

I'm sure he'll be a reasonable mark in the history of sumo. Sure it's great!
