Innovative gift ideas

I am in a relationship since one year. Next month is our anniversary. I want to gift my boyfriend something innovative and very romantic, but I am not able to come up with any such idea. Can anybody help me with that? I want my gift to be really unique.

Yes definitely I would like to help you but before that Happy Anniversary!!! in Advance. First of all I would like to know some good choices about your husband like whats his favorite color, Which thing did he like etc........

He is not my husband, but a boyfriend. It's been a year of our relationship. Things are little tense at this point of time. So, I wanted to gift something that will smoothen our relationship. His favorite color is brown and loves reading books, watching movies and doing theater.

Innovative? You mean a gift that is different from the usual ones?
Hmmm..let's see..
Does he like computers? Or playing PC games? How about a customized mousepad as a gift?
I'm a boy and if a girl would give me a mousepad I would be more than happy.
Here's another one:
Does he like listening to music? How about a cool looking headset with good bass sounds.. That would be freaking awesome!
