Technology makes me lazy

I have decided technology is not a good thing for me, and I would have been better off to live in the days my parents did. I get lazier and lazier as more technology comes out that does everything for me. I find myself not wanting to think and wanting the computer to think for me. I think back on elementary and middle school and I was so good at math. It was always my strong subject but then came the calculator and there went that skill. Now, I can barely add without a calculator.I used to be pretty responsible with money as well, and then came internet banking that does it for you. I stopped using a check register and balancing my account myself because I can easily look at my account online, and then I get overdraft fees because everything is not cleared yet!! Technology is good for a lot of people, but I would have to say it is not a blessing for me! Do you think you are better off with or without technology?

I agree about your discussion, machines and technology makes us lazy, that's true. That's because technology is designed to minimize our work, to help us to improve our daily life. But I don't think I can handle to live a life without the technology, it is so very important in our lives.

Actually it depends on the person if he would make himself lazy and too dependent on what technology could do for him. Don't blame technology for making you such. Technology is here to help things easier for us but that does not mean one should come out a lazy bone just because technology is doing much of the work. Technology for me is one of the reasons why I can accomplish more things in life and not a reason for me to just sit down and become sluggard.

With the technological development, new products are emerging one after another. To be fair,we have benefited a lot from them.Say the least of it,they raise our efficiency. There are two sides to anything, our dependence on them grows with each passing day,our ability to count, write and so on is degenerate,to sum up,It is bette for us to have them than that we don't have.

There was a point in my life when I also wanted to give up technology. That was when I watched "into the wild". But now it almost seems impossible to live without technology. I mean I can't afford to not to have mobile since all the calls for job will be contacted on that number. I need to watch television or at least do net surfing to stay aware and up to date. It's just so difficult now.

No offense, but unfortunately I don't share the same idea with you...Personally for me, technology is indeed a blessing...Please try not to limit technology to computers and calculators, and think technology as something that makes things easier for us...The washing machine will be a great example...Washing machine has helped countless housewives around the world to do their daily clothes-related chores, like washing, rinsing and drying...The same chores has been done using bare hands for thousands of years, and when washing machine comes into picture doesn't it make your life easier?
I believe technology will be useful only if you are using it wisely...If you think that technology is not a blessing to you, think again...If it isn't, how do you think you can receive my response and exchange opinion through Internet here in MyLot? You can always use your natural ability to do those activities like counting and so, but don't deny technology as a handy alternative to that activity...

It think you are loosing a lot by not joining the technology age. Technology is what makes the whole world happy. In my home, I have a lot of personal appliance which has help in reducing human labour. Take for example, pressing iron, microwave oven, electric cooker, washing machine, dryer, lawn mower etc
If one was to go back to the stone age, it would certainly be unpleasant, timewasting and stressful to have your cloth washed, dried and iron up. But here you are, technology is at your door step helping you out of this difficult process. So I can not help laughing to read your piece that itech is not helping humanity. Itech is good for everybody. You could as well trek from one city to another and you will see how stressful it could be! However, you are still entitle to your opinion.
