If you could be rich and famous, would you?

I don't think I would want to be rich and famous. I like having anonymity when I go places and although I would like people to know about the good things I have done, I don't need to be famous for that. I can share the small things with people who are important to me. I think if I were rich that I would have to find a way to give it all away because wealth makes people unhappy from what I have seen. This may not be totally true, but I haven't seen many truly happy wealthy people.

I've always wanted a simple life and God gave this to me. Being rich and famous is the desire of many and I believe those who were able to attain it are enjoying it but there is always a price to pay for popularity and wealth. I believe that kind of life is not for me because I was born simple and very private.

I always wanted to be rich but never wanted to be famous. I agree that it would destroy one's life and I would want no part of it. Some people revel in it I guess but not me. It seems like some celebrities want it until they get it and then they get tired of being famous. They only want it on their terms but the problem is, you can't really turn it off. Once you are that famous, it's too late. You are a public figure from then on. I would rather be quietly, anonymously rich.

if i got left alone and was able to live like a normal person then maybe, plus the money would be nice. i know they sa money doesnt bring happiness, which i agree with but it would be nice to be able to have what i want and not have to worry.

hmmm... at present, i'd lie if i said i don't want to be rich and famous. I mean the world- most parts of it like Asia where I am, is suffering financially due to corruption or merely natural disasters like what happened to Japan. In our society today, having lots of money is the goal of all people even those who are already rich. but honestly, i want to be rich because there are just so many people in my country or specifically my city that is experiecing the worst effects of poverty. i mean i wouldn't mind giving some of my money... hehe! hmmm... being famous...my reason for wanting to be famous would be i would want to influence other people on some aspects of our society like lifestyle and habits that are negative to our lives... i mean being a nurse and naive, i really would want to be a part of a change. haha! i gues yea, i'd have no probs on being famous and rich... but i also have no problems on just living a happy contented life and making most out of what I have and what i am.=)

nope. i like my aminimity. i like to be able to go out when i want and not having a crowd of people follow me and not have to worry about how much money i have and who is trying to steal it.

I am an artist and I have had exhibitions. I didn't really enjoy being the center of attention, I am a shy person and I don't feel comfortable in a situation where I get lots of attention. I don't think that I would enjoy a life where I was famous and where people recognized me on the street etc. When I travel or walk around in my local area I like to be anonymous, I don't think that I would be able to relax if everyone knew who I was. It would also be harder to know if people were my real friends or if they just wanted to be my friend because I was rich and famous.

I don't like to become a public figure,no privacy,the dog will dig your little son things to report.

Sure, yes, yes! I could then begin my animal organization and I'd use fame to protect animals, be a part of the Vegan movement and more.

I would rather not. I like to have a private life. Being rich and famous easily die's i like the way you express your thoughts on you don't want to be rich and famous.it is how i wanted my life to be.

I'd have to agree with you. Give me a nice house, food on the table , clothes on my back & I'm set. Beyond that it would just be a headache.

You are right.There are a lot of downsides to being rich and famous... well mostly the famous part. You have no privacy as a celebrity. However I would still be rich and famous if I had the chance. I would use the money to go to school for enviromental science and learn about renewable resources. I would then invest the money in green companies. I would use my fame to advocate for enviromental groups and human rights groups. If I was rich and famous I would want to use it to make the world a better place.

i think you blur the private and public side of every person. even the rich and famous people have their private side of their lives. not everything about them is open to the public eye. they still retain their own lives, and separate the public from the private. however, the media has fed the public of the interesting parts of the rich and famous' lives. this captivated the interest of the public to the lives of these people. if i were rich and famous, i would retain my privacy.

I don't think that I would want to be famous. Rich?? Sure, I don't think that I would mind that at all. It's more being famous that I don't really want. I don't really want to have people always around and always being into my personal life. I like being able to have a little bit of privacy.

Being rich and famous ight be great for a while. sooner or later reality would have to set in and the private life of a celebrity would be no more. i don't know that I would enjoy life under a microscope so much.

i think i would like to give it a shot! i don't think it would change me too much, i am already a horrible person! lol!
