I recently graduated in Journalism from a reputed university. Despite that, it's getting hard for me to get a job. And even if I get one, they generally exploit freshers. So, I have finally decided to not to do a job anymore and start freelancing. Can anyone suggest me how to approach newspapers and magazines to publish your articles? Which magazines accept articles from freelancers?

As you are unemployed, you might want to spend some time learning the more technical aspects of computerized publishing. And get your own web sites made - the more the better! Just being a journalist isn't enough. You have to have your fingers in many pies. And you have to be able to do everything - by yesterday of course! That's my suggestion - make yourself better than all the others. People will then start coming to you!

I really appreciate your suggestion. Can you please tell me how can I get my own website made? And how much will it cost me?

I graduated back in 2005 with a Bachelor's in General Studies, then received a Certificate of Technical Studies in Medical Office Assisting in 2009, and I have yet to find a job. It's a tough economy out there these days. I guess patience is the key to the whole situation.

True! But at times it gets so frustrating to be not able to your own and parent's expectation. I thought it'll be easy for me to get a decent job at least, given the fact that I graduated from a good college. At times, I get so disappointed that it feels like life has stopped for me. It's stagnant and boring.
