Well, I have windows vista on my system and I'm pretty pleased with this. Having said this I support a friend with his computer and he has windows 7 and it's nice also. I don't think there are any major differences in terms of the different operating systems it's just that the buttons may be a little different or called something else. What I would say though is if you are happy with the operating system that you have i.e. xp then why change? You should only change and upgrade if you are having problems with xp. As far as I know there are still a lot of people using xp right now.
I think as long as Microsoft are willing to support xp as an operating system, getting regular updates and so forth then you shouldn't have any problems remaining on xp and you can save yourself the expense of upgrading. I have vista and I will remain with vista as I'm happy with it and it does everything that I want it to do, it caters for all my needs as a user! Andrew

Hi theone,
Windows 7 is designed for high end systems to maximize its performance. Some units gets full capability when the appropriate operating system is installed. If you have a processor ticking in at more than 2.5 GHz, 2GB of RAM, and a 1GB 128-bit VGA card, you cannot expect them to work at peak performance in a 32-bit Windows XP OS. It runs, that's for sure but its like driving a Rolls Royce all the way in third gear only.
