I am very curious about this thing. Since most of newbies does and I'm one of them I am very interested on how technology works. I am not a graduate of any computer related course but my interests are pointed to these subject.

start with the basics try to learn a computer language and seek help from a pro
go check out the internet forums its loaded with tutorials and u just need to have a little bit of determination and patient as i have met people who have been learning for 2 years the bad thing is for newbies that these things change on a daily basis

Thanks, i have been trying to learn linux based operating systems because i've read from articles that most hackers use this O.S. Well I did try using Backtrack and used it on my own wireless network and I succeeded. But the thing is, i didn't really understand how it worked because I just did it with a tutorial.
