Do we really need to forgive?

Everyone of us experienced to be hurt by other people...some had been neglected, some had been left alone without even having some warning by that person, some had been cheated, some had been discriminated by the people around them. Everybody in this world experience pain because of the people who doesn't even care to know what will other people would feel after doing such things. So much pain causes the person to think so many things like, to take revenge that put them to the conclusions to kill people in order to make that person pay for what they had done to them and we can easily observe it in our surroundings. We can here on the news, another murder has been done, another people was been killed, another people killed their own parents, their own child, their own family without realizing how much damaged they had done, without knowing what will happen to them next. Another thing that causes pain was too take suicide and many people are doing this kind of crime. People who had bare so much pain in their hearts and cannot take it any longer, their answer was to kill themselves through many ways like, jumping on a cliff, using a knife for ending their lives, taking poisonous drugs etc. Do you think this is the right way to do it? Of course not, right? Taking revenge and killing ourselves are not the answers to our problems. Had we forgotten what God is doing to our lives? He is here to help us as He says on Ephesians 4:31 " Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger....." God also give us the Word of God to know answer to our questions. Matthew 6:14-15 " For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." ^_^

Forgiveness is not as easy as 123. Life is full of mind-boggling situations many of which no one would would wish happening even to his enemy. Raoe, murder, betrayal, these are not easy to forgive. First, there must be remorse from the offender or criminal. If forgiveness is not asked, how can one forgive? If, in time, it is asked, there must be sincerity in the asking, not just lip service. God forgives only those who deserve forgiveness. Those who don't are banished in hell.

my, many in the history of salvation did not ask for forgiveness, so they were never given forgiveness even by God.

Welcome to mylot Isaalmasih I agree most of us have experienced what you say, we can be hurt in various ways. You must have heard, to err is human, and to forgive is god, i believe this saying, but i don't think forgiving some body is never that easy. Because there are good persons and bad persons as well, but we must take in to consideration, why he or she committed the mistake, after that we may/may not forgive.. Thanks for this discussion Happy posting, cheers. Namastey. Kalyani

Yes, because it is said in the bible that we need to forgive. I know there are many who can't forgive easily because of the other people did to them, especially if its a high crime. But we need to this in order to have peace in our heart, GOD is justice and HE will punish all evil in their time.
