Wow.. I love and Enjoy my New job but, I need God to give me strength because this is getting out of hand. My Manager is driving me insane and other co workers. I cant take it anymore and So I think Im going to stop dealing with it and giving my Manager a Chance and File a Report to Corporate or my Regional. As a Teller I do many transactions on the Lobby and the Drive. Not only that we are short Staff which makes the stress level raise but I keep calm most of the time. Well today Im doing both and I was doing the drive thru and I am speaking into the mic forgetting I Have the head set on. SO the man cant see me. Because of the machine that pushes the boxes in out is blocking my face. SO... My manager says he cant see you ... I didn't hear her then she said he cant see you grab me on my shoulders and like push me to the side and the box fell and every and the let me remind you I am still on the mic. The Man at the Drive looks scared and I am acting and ignore it like it never happen. With a Smile on my face at this point in time I am VERY HOT MAD..... VERY MAD.. Then after that she started complaining saying oh.. cant say this or that Im like is she serious she does that her self with no problem. Saying this to me and the other co worker. So we both are tired of it everyday same thing just today she took it too FAR. The other co worker got tired of it and said can I speak with someone I need to speak with someone so the manager connect one the regional lady that has a office at the branch and so yeah I left the co worker my number when I see her tomorrow I will tell her I will be your back up because I am tired of this too. and I have only been here for 3 weeks now. sad. I Need some advice.. .. Please my Friends I can take this anymore so bad that I don't want to go to work because of this lady she is not the big manager he is on vacation and he is the one that said if you have any problems with her tell him because he knows how she is ... I said sure no problem.. Let me remind you this lady has been banking for over 20 years now. .. so I am sure she has every trick and lie to say. Cant take this any more. its hard not to Break and just flip out. But I have control..

If the big manager is not due back for a while, you may have to go to the regional manager. She is not behaving in a professional manner. I am not sure what the laws are in your country, but she would be in trouble doing that here in the USA.

Payout, did I say this in a way that was offensive to you? If so, I am sorry. I am not clear from your comment if I made you feel picked on. I just could not believe that anyone in a bank in the US would act that way. It does seem like she needs to find a way to give constructive criticism.

Hey gardengerty, I am from the united states and I agree with you if you are going to give advice then say but make it understand it and while saying it make the person feel comfortable so they won't feel like you are just picking on them but... I don't like what she did at all and I am sure that law.. Will lose her job and to me she put herself in that situation and so.. All I can say is.. Nothing at all.. I will ask my friend to speak with the regional as well. :)

Security cameras. You need evidence to prove your allegation. Harassment is a nitty-gritty case.

Hi. payout. I think that you should report her. Don't let her attitude stop you at all. She has no reason and no right to put her hands on you at all. For no whatsoever reason! Many managers think that they have the upper hand just because they have a higher position. But that isn't so. They are supposed to stay in their place and not get out of their place. I would surely report this manager to the regional lady so that she can know what is going on. Her behavior should not surprise her, being that she already know how this manager can be. I hope that she is fired after putting her hands on you. This is like assaulting you.

Oh payout, no I am so sorry to read this. With the whole excitement about landing the job and now to have to deal with this type of situation. I see GG told you to write down and take notes, which you are. I also see that you sent an email to regional managment. Okay, tell yourself you have done nothing wrong and you will not be treated this way. Go to work each day with your bright smile and do not let on to anyone what is going on until you hear back from the email you sent. Reason why I am saying is that you do not want to let anyone know and the wrong people get ahead of you. I am really sorry to hear this because I remember your excitement, and for this unprofessional person to behave this way, you won't know if she has done this and or worse to many others. But you do the right thing in reporting because it is so wrong for anyone at a professional job to treat anyone this way. You are in the US and you know the laws here with harassment are very strict so she cannot be an exception. So in the meantime go in and continue to tell yourself that you love the job and you have done nothing wrong. I will pray that this gets cleared for you and that you can go back to the happy environment as usual. Many hugs to you.

Hey HardworkingGurl, Thank you so much for your advice. I did send out the Email but they have told me to contact Human Resources. Because I had contact the Customer Service.. But one of my co-workers have ask to speak with the Regional Manager and she is coming in. The Weird part is that the Manager the one that is mistreating me is the one that contact her and to me she has no idea what she got herself into because to me she is trying to look the good one by contacting her. I will sure express how I feel because the manager has no right to put her hands on me what so Period. I am also sorry that I do love my job but because the way I was treated and talk to makes me feel uncomfortable going to work. To be honest if they dont do much and knowing what she did no matter how long she has been working for the company and no action is made I will make a Call.

Sounds like this women needs some anger management classes. If she's been in bank for over 20-years maybe she should find a new profession. She just can treat her staff that way. I wouldn't be surprised if the man at the window doesn't call someone himself. Hang in there. Best Wishes!

Hey sswallace, I agree it's crazy one minute she is fine and is okay manager that you know you can deal with but, then next minute she snaps out of no where and becomes this evil wicked witch he'll or something I don't know what her problem is but even if she does have a problems she has no right to bring it to the work environment.

Maybe she's Bipolar. That seem to be the new Diagnosis for everyone who snaps on a dime. You are right though. She should not be bring her issues to work. She needs to deal with them some place else. Best Wishes!

I think you should hold tight with this until your big manager gets back from vacation. Just write down the dates and times of the incidents. Most banks have good security systems and they will probably be able to see just what happened. She has no business touching you.

The most important thing for you to do is to remain calm and collected. I know it can be hard working with someone like that. It is better to have ONE WRONG than to have two! Always keep track of what is going on, I think someone suggested writing it all down that is a great idea. I would also speak with any co-workers that have witnessed the event. She should not have touched you in such a manner. I could understand if she had tapped you on the shoulder and signaled that you needed to move but physically pushing you out of the way is unacceptable. Tell her boss as soon as possible. Good luck!

What she did was just unacceptable and i agree with you right now I have to see her Monday thru Friday and this week it's Monday thru Saturday and just thinking about it I know she is justgoingto continue

Hi pay, You did not specify the nature of your work but from the narrative, I surmised it must be a drive thru banking service of some sort. You have a floor manager that seem to run your operation like a platoon sergeant in the middle of a losing battle. That's bad for the morale. You may file a complaint, as you said, to the higher headquarters for appropriate actions.

Hey Rog, I work at the Bank and I do the Drive thru and I also do the Lobby the floor and do transaction there as well. What you said couldn't be said any better lol. I will ask my friend if I can speak with the Regional on the same day as well because this is just getting out of hand and before you know it someone is going to snap.

This is just wrong. No matter what you did (it didn't sound like anything serious), your manager should never put their hands on you. I'm glad you're doing what you should be doing and reported. Just try to keep your head in a moment like that and keep your cool. Sounds like you did just that :)

Hey Emochique, I dont want to leave my new job because I just got it and I love it plus the money is good just dealing with that Manager makes my job uncomfortable going to work because I dont want to fight or go at it. Plus not only that she makes up her own rules to power herself. I dont know if she is trying to make a point but your Title is your Title and your job is to fulfill your title not make up rules and then add policy to it in the end. Thank you I need all the Blessing I can get. Thank you a lot. Need all the blessing I can get.
