They say that one of the major cause of breakups is lack of communication. Do you believe in the saying "out of sight, out of mind"?

Personally, I believe that the Top 5 causes of breakups are the following:
1. infidelity
2. lack of communication
3. lack of trust
4. taking the relationship for granted
5. being affected by what other people say or think about the relationship

You're right. And by committing infidelity, you are turning your back on the promises that you made to your partner and it shows that you did not only lose your full love for him or her but also your respect.

I think the top causes are cheating,lack of trust,lack of understanding,lack of communication and ofcourse the distance because maintaining a distant relationship is definitely impossible.However the top most cause in my opinion is the ego clash.Maximum break ups are a result of ego clash between the partners.

1. cheating I think is one of the most common reasons why couples break up
2. long distance relationship which led to infidelity
3. long distance relationship and eventually both lost interest in each other
4. insecurity, paranoia and lack of trust
5. both realized their incompatibility
