Well, panoramic photography is a technique of photography using specialized equipment or software that captures images with elongated fields of view. I think this technique is amazing because even a photo makes more the 1000 words, I think that a panoramic photo can cover all the beauty of that landscape. Did you know? The first panoramic photo was submitted by Joseph Puchberger in Austria in 1843 for a hand-cranked, 150 degrees field of view, 8-inch focal-length camera that exposed a relatively large Daguerreotype. Panoramic methods: Short rotation - rotating lens cameras have a lens that rotates around the camera`s rear nodal point and use a curved film plane. Full rotation - scanning cameras are capable of 360 degree or greater degree of rotation with a clockwork or motorized mechanism that rotates the camera continuously. Fixed lens - fixed lens camera have fixed lenses and a flat image plane, these are the most common form of panoramic camera. Segmented - stitched panoramas are made by joining multiple photographs with slightly overlapping fields of vie to create a panoramic image. Catadioptric cameras - cameras consist of lenses and curved mirrors that reflect a 360 degree field of view into the lens` optics. Well these are the methods of making a panoramic photo, and maybe the methods of making a piece of art. What do you think about panoramas?

Panoramic photography is a great technique. I agree also to you gh3p4rd. But now Photoshop made everything for you from simple topography to panoramic to the most complicated photography or illusions that you want. I used Photoshop Cs5 Ext. for photo editing. And I do a lot of thing from it. I'm also earn some money from submitting some photo to the microstock photography website.

I think Panoramic photos are a work of art. You get to see the whole landscape in one photo. You get to appreciate the view more. This is one aspect that I love about photography.
