What is the one thing (Or many, you may have a list!) that will be the deal breaker for you when going out to see a Movie? Is there a particular Actor or Actress you can't stand, bad sound,Loud Music, flashing lights? Share!

Well I can't think of an actor or actress that's particularly bad lol, but I can tell you my movie turn offs 1. Movie turn off I hate it when there's no survivors in a horror film 2. Movie turn off hate sad endings or endings that leave me confused and wondering what happened. 3. Movie turn off I hate bad acting and story-lines that make no sense. I can usually tell if I like a movie within the first 15 to 20 minutes, and I'm sure I forget a movie turn off or two but it was fun posting these maybe a film maker will take note, good topic by the way.

I saw the end of a cheap knockoff of "Alien" recently, with this glowing orb instead of the Alien, that turned everybody in contact with it into a Zombie..and as the last survivor got into an escape pod and got free of the doomed ship,She realizes one of Her former crewmate zombies had placed the orb in the capsule while she's heading back to re-enter earth's Atmosphere..Take that,Ripley.. 2) yep, hate those too.. 3) You wonder how they get released when they're so bad.. Personally,My latest movie Turnoff was in "Inception"..Marion Cotillard, who was playing Leonardo Di Caprio's Character's wife,Previously portrayed French Singer Edith Piaf on screen..And they used the tune of one of her best known songs (Je Ne Regrette Rien) as the "Kick" theme..The Reason? There's piped Music at work,I have a French speaking Manager, and He has a Bunch of Edith Piaf on repeat...the same few songs, several times an hour, every hour..I didn't need to hear that in the cinema on a night off!

here are my biggest turn offs for a movie: 1.Changing the etnicity of a character-Hollywood is currently having controversies with the Asian American community due to whitewash. They make characters who are originally Asian and supposed to be Asian turned into Caucasian because they think America wants Caucasian lead only. Any kind of etnic washing in movies is a turn off to me. 2.Miscast-It usually happens in adaptation movies , It could be book, comics, cartoon, anime or novel, I think Lots of movies are castign the wrong actors for certain characters. 3. cheesyness-I wont watch cheesy movies 4. Audience reviews-I dont trust the reviews of critics, I trust more the comments of the regular people who watched the movie.

1) I like Kevin Spacey as an actor, and saw his movie "21" on the bargain shelf when out shopping not long ago,and picked it up as an impulse buy. While I enjoyed the story,I then took a look on IMDB to see what others had thought of it,and walked into the controversy that the Movie, mentioned as being based on a true story, was apparently based on a book about Asian students, and the one Asian guy in the Movie was the one helping himself to all the freebies and complimentary stuff He could lay his hands on.. Such changes for changes sake =not good. How do you feel about changing things around in remakes? The French Movie "Taxi" about a Pizza scooter delivery guy quitting to become Marseilles' fastest taxi driver got transferred to New York in the remake-with Queen Latifah starting off as a courier cyclist before getting behind the wheel of a souped up crown vic! 2)I'd agree here, but could use a few examples.. 3)some people just like cheese... 4) yep,it's audience response you want...nothing worse than sitting in a cinema and all you'd be able to hear are crickets...

I'd never been a big superhero comic book reader growing up,but read those I could get my hands on...but hadn't read up on X-Men.Patrick Stewart seemed to fit my recollection of Prof.X in a wheelchair...and I was aware of Daredevil but not much of his opposition..What did you think about Michael Clarke Duncan in the role of the Kingpin in the Movie?

I still dont like any kind of etnic wash in Hollywood movies, i was upset when the Character Christy Monteiro who is supposed to be Black was played by a blond haired blue eyes chick, I hate it when Nick Fury who had always been White is turned into Samuel L Jackson, Then I also hated Jessica Alba who looks so etnic because she was, tried to use blue contact lenses and dye her hair blonde to look Caucasian so she can play the role of Invisible woman. I want to keep the character the way they were. Any kind of Etnic wash is a movie turn off to me. 2.Miscast.... The X-men movies, Wolverine is the only character who is casted rightly. The character Rouge is supposed to be a Sassy Southern Belle and the actress played her is too emo and bland. The woman who played jean Grey is too old for her role, I can see her botox shots. Magneto is too old in the movie, yes magneto is an old guy but he aint twig. The Dare Devil movie- Jennifer garner doesnt look like Elekra at all... ---------- 4. Audience response- You know we will only buy products with satisfied customers.

Stuffy period dramas, if I know that a movie is a serious drama about the social elite from the past then I will give it a miss. So basically anything which I think will be like "Pride & Prejudice" and I will give it a miss. Otherwise I will pretty much watch anything.

I can make a list of these kinds of movies that really turn me off... Indiana Jones & raiders of the lost ark ... This so-called classic really annoyed me not the least ,weak plot ,I forgot almost everything in the flick no more than one day after i watched it . Fargo ... That chick that played the cop who OH YEAHed thousands of times that made me want to punch her right away in the annoying face... ...

Haven't seen Fargo, but that sounds like a really annoying trait that should've been caught and edited out!

My roomie hates Tom Cruise, and also doesn't like bright/flashing lights (they hurt her eyes). I don't like "got cha" movies so most horror is out for me.

I don't do Horror, especially these slash 'em up/gorefest Movies..but I like Scifi,so "Blade" (Vampires) and the Alien/Predator Movies get past My Filters..go figure.. I liked the Cruiser in "Last Samurai" but don't really have an Actor/Actress I wouldn't go to see..

I hate cliched rip-offs, where it's obvious they've taken every original thought in the book and cobbled them together to make their own cheapo flick. I hate it when bad (or even good) CGI is used in place of a decent plot and good acting. I hate glaring bloop-holes which don't make scientific sense. I hate it when macho military types dominate the scene cos the fact they SHOUT so much means any trash bit-part z-lister who learnt their acting skills playing War Hammer will do. Sand Serpents pretty much sums all these up. So baaaad it was almost ... still bad.
