Doing good can return good only?

Do good have good. This was the chief belief full of inspiration and motivation in the ancient time like silver age or copper age, which gave the people an urge to do good for others, because they were definitely rewarded in return. After some time, a new concept emerged i.e., 'Do good and forget'. It meant 'to do good' but not expect any reward in return.
But in the present era i.e kaliyuga, an ironical concept of life has prevailed, i.e., 'do good and get worse in return.' That's why most of people avoid to take risks for the sake of others; hesitate to help others and avoid even to console them. Everyone is busy in himself, no one cares for others.

Doing good doesn't always mean you will get good in return. Life on this world must always remain in balance.
By doing good, sometime, you ended up inflicting pain on the other person. It is the same as doing bad at the same time.
A good example can be in workplace. You did a very good job, helping the company grow. However, by doing this, you might cause the other employee to feel bad on how he cannot do as good as you. Sure you gets "good reward" like a raise. However, on the hand, you also did bad and by that, you also get a "bad reward" such as bad rumor behind your back being spread by the other employee which can ruin your life one day.

Maybe because people being dismayed of what is happening right now in our environment, people became more cruel. I still believe that when you do good you can also have good in return just like the proverbs goes that what you sow you reap.Do not get tired of doing good to others because God will be the one to reward you.

I think its a more of a selfish outlook to the term "do good and good will come to you" that makes us believe that we do not get in return what we deserve for being good. Everyone tends to look at it in a micro way and thus feel its not true. But open your eyes, look at the bigger picture and you will realize its true.
Don't just think of yourself. Think of the whole world. And you will understand the essence of the saying.
When someone helped you get up when you fell down you didn't go searching for someone who fell so that you could help him get up and thus return the good that was done to you, for that matter even if you do that you have not returned the favor as you would be helping someone and not the one who helped you. What I mean to say with this example is that the good doesn't have to come in return immediately. It will come sooner or later but we are so tied up with our daily life that we tend to not realize when it comes to us.
The point is that you need to keep doing good all the time and you will see good happening all around you. If you do good expecting good to happen just to you then you are gonna be sad and the whole goodness of what you did is lost. Often we don't feel good has come back to us because we see others are more happy and prosperous than us. Stop comparing and look at what could have been worse than what you have at hand. That will make you realize that good has already come to you in return for whatever good you have done.

Well hard to prove that fact. Mostly it's just a belief among people that when you do good then something good would happen to you in return. I have never had any good luck like that in a long time now. I just wish i had some for a long time. I want to be able to do good things and when anyone does a good thing expecting something back is not at all considered. Mostly we would feel happy and if we expect something back then that;s business.
Cheers!

Doing good and not asking for anything in return may be something hard to come in terms with for people who are not a believer in God's word. The Bible often tells us that "do unto others what you want others to do unto you", just when you least expect it other people will return the favor that you have shown to others. I have experience this a couple of times and it is so true love begets love just as someone who gives will received in one way or the other even if you are not expecting it.

There are people that they only know you when they are in need, and there are also people that the good things you do for them appreciated though out their lives. For me, I don't care if they appreciated it or not as long as I do them a favor and one thing I can't forget, there are people who are abused. I still do them a favor, its not in me they commits sin, its in the eye of the Lord. And I do it for God's sake too.

Yes, dooing good to others and do not expect and wait for good will return. Everything around us is a blessing. there's a lot of things we need to thank for than disappointed if you wait for your reward.

Sad state of affairs and it truly reflects the times we are in.We wish fully from our heart to do good but that is misused or people are ungrateful.I feel we have to think awhile before deciding to help others as we are unsure of their true intentions. It is this nature of people in general which has made us busy in ourselves without thinking of our fellow beings.
