My Aunt is OC! She's 100% OC. When I had to sleep in there house to accompany her cause her husband is a Nautical working abroad so most of the days she's alone. I notice that she always keep her self busy even from the morning after waking up she starts washing all unused plates in the cabinet, laundrying unused clothes of her husband, sweaping the floor, brushing, gardening, and a whole lot more. I saw her doing it everyday. Why do that as if it's dirty? There is no wonder why the maids never stayed longer cause she's not satisfied of what the maids do. I even had a terrible experience of her OCness. It was 5:30am in the morning, I felt someone is in my room so I open half of my eye and I saw her taking off the pillow case from my pillow and trying to grab my blanket. Then I asked her what she's doing and she simply replied that she have to laundry those. Ahh! For God sake can't she wait until I woke up from the bed. That was really a bad day for me.

OC is a disoeder that can be helped up to some extent with medication and therapy. It is not something you have to live with, if you can help it. People with OC are not happy with it so maybe it will be easy to make her go to a doctor so she can be helped. I see you were more worried about your blanket than about your aunt. ? Welcome to mylot! Love always helps. Happy posting.

Thanks for the information. We had tried to convinced my aunt to see a doctor but then she refused it. She claimed that she was totally fine and she doesn't have any disorder. No matter how we say she only take it for granted.

It is a pity because people benefit from medications a lot.

Hahaha! Sorry, but that was quite funny. Well, just thinking of how I would react if I woke up because of that I'd really be in a weird mood too. :P I can relate, too. I have an aunt who is exactly like that. It is sometimes hard because even though its not what she means to do, I sometimes feel like I carry dirt around. One weird thing she did once, that made the whole family break into laughter is when she cleaned the fish with soap. Yes, with soap!

Well, what was worse was when my Aunt who had MPD was alive. To me, OCD is bad, but MPD is worse, especially since at the time my aunt was dating and having either the Kid coming out or the one who hated men. She even had personalities that did not know who I was, etc. It was not a Fun experience at all. So I can relate with what you have to deal with and wish there was a better solution out there for them all.
