Use Mylot for Bookmarking your articles. Help Mylot admin and everyone!

Have you ever read a discussion in which a mylotter has introduced a link to some useful information (a link to some article/website/blog) and the link is not a referral link. How do you feel about the link? Do you consider it a spam? Even when the article as been helpful for your query?

Can I include Mylot in this list. Dose Mylot allow links to some web page outside Mylot? I did not find any answer in the FAQ of Mylot. the question is can I use Mylot to promote my article/blogs and websites by adding a link in my discussion?

I think it is a taboo in mylot to promote something that would derive benefits to the writer. But no harm trying. If it doesn't get axed then admin is being lenient but in most cases discussions with promotional links will not survive in this lot for long. It is therefore advisable not to take the risk as it is only a waste of time posting a discussion with a link that will eventually end up in mylot bin.

You can put your links in your profile page but it is again the guidelines to put a personal link in a discussion. I think you can post a personal link in a response if it provides useful informations for the discussion : it is a borderline case, and a moderator will decide to delete or not your response.

i have seen people doing it so why not? as long as you are getting people to view your info i think you are ok. i am planning to use mylot as well because i dont see anything that says i cant.
