I need a system in my life and that is new for me!
Afew days ago a friend came over and wonne go to the beach with our dogs.
I really like to go but I had somewhere inside of me a presure that told me no you didnt cleaned the house yet.
I like to clean my house cause it makes me feel like i am at home.
so i stayed at home to clean.
and i was ok with that and felt good.
but now it gives me to think, cause what did i do to my friend a friend is much more worth then a clean house.
And my system that i only leave the house when it is clean is bull ....
It was s... for my friend and for my dogs so I have to change my thinking and that is hard cause i like to get things done

I felt this way when my son was first born. I stressed so much about keeping the house clean incase soomeone came over that I didn't just relax and enjoy the time with my newborn. I didn't nap when he did and still the house seamed to always be messy.
I eventually just said f*** it and moved on and said the dishes will gete done when they get done and the hoovering will be done when ever I get around to it. Its not like my house is really dirty, I just grew up with strick parents who always had to have the house spotless and constenlty had us cleaning... or so it seamed.

I think everyone has some lists of chores that have to be done before going to have fun. They are different from person to person, but they belong to the habits of each one. I donĀ“t clean my entire house every day, but I have to clean the bathroom and kitchen.
Happy posting!

I actually do this to. A few weeks ago it was my husbands weekend off. I "told" myself that if the house wasn't clean then I wasn't going out with our friends that evening. Which I told my husband about it and he had kind of said that same thing that if he hadn't gotten his car put back together then he wasn't going out. I think that at times we set goals for oursleves and we enjoy having a schedule of sort, but sometimes you just need to be spontaneous and take some time for ourselves. It is hard to deviate from this schedule sometimes, and our minds are on one tract instead of thinking, that it will always be there tomorrow. I have things sort of scheduled at home. That when I clean I always start with the bathroom and work my way out. I also always scrub my carpets twice a month. Hope that you get to hangout with your friend soon.

I know it. I have a friend who always asked me out whether I am not finish with my things at home. No matter how she persuades me, I reluctant to go out with her because her system is different from mine. She rarely do household chores while I do it almost everyday so I stay away from her.

Oh gosh this was me a once upon long time ago. See I use to work these really heavy shifts where I use to make it rule to clean my entire 3 floor home from top to bottom each and every Friday night, after I was done I had my movie nights with my kids. I figured if I could do the major cleaning that one specific night then I would have the entire weekend for fun.
Gosh I remember one day watching my two kids fall asleep while they anxiously awaited for me to get done. It was then I realized wait, my home is tidied each and every night, so why am I making it point to ruin it for others. So then my friend, from then on what I did was still did my one day ritual when I scrubbed and cleaned but then fun called I jump at the chance. See in a blink of an eye my children and or friend would be gone. So I learned my friend that a one time thing for me was much more important, since tomorrow is not promised I may as well take advantage today.
