The football team of PH has become stronger these months. Thanks to Phil Younghusband and his fellow players. More Filipinos are inspired to learn football because of them

well i agree that they open our people to football but I really don't really feel that they are filipinos. Some just played for us because they have a hint of filipino blood even if they live there whole lives overseas and don't even know what philippines is.

oops i need a little grammar check on my post lol. Well for the people who play football here yes that is true unfortunately. I only see football fields in the philippines if its a international school or a big university.
Well if i can remember, they have a lot of baguio members but I am not sure about that.

I guess that's true. But you have to admit, since there's not really a lot of people who play football here, I guess it's easier to find good football players with Filipino blood in other countries. It's a start though. Hopefully in the future, they will invest and establish schools that will train our local talents here. And I think there are players who are from different parts of the country. it's a bit hard to find them but for sure, more will join the club

Schools like Don Bosco Mandaluyong and Makati have football fields. La Salle Greenhills also has one too.

Yes, true, without the Azkals, I don't think there would be a lot of inspired Filipinos who would love to learn football. It's quite an interesting sport I should say. They were the eye-opener of football to the Filipinos.

But most of the best players of the Azkals are half-blooded Filipinos though. But they are Filipinos! ;)

It's good that they have popularized the football in the country. I've been playing futbol since college. I just hope it doesn't become a mere fad because of these good looking athletes. Although, it's advantageous that the media is picking this up. This means more opportunities funding and sponsorships for the football clubs'/athletes' training, events and other activities.

Finally, this sport was recognized by our Filipinos, this is way more popular than basketball. Sports like this together with baseball, softball and the like should be promoted in the country as it doesn't require height in order for you to increase your chances of playing. I hope we will also see home grown talents in this sport in the future. Another dream for Azkals......singing the national anthem.

I'm referring to our team not knowing the national anthem, not really nice to look at when they are being focused before the games that only few are singing. Well, for us we do understand that but someday we hope that there should also be some sort of pride singing the national anthem.Of course we are proud of our players, full-blooded or not as long as they are playing for the country.

In the past, the Philippines used to lose in football games. Many famous Filipinos are emerging like Bruno Mars who is not a an athlete.LOL. Well, we can be proud of the Fil-Ams and other half-blooded Filipinos

It's a good thing that the Azkals gained recognition because it also opened futbol to the Philippines. Before, it was always basketball. Now, Futbol is one of the rising sports in the Philippines.

Now we have another sports legend aside from Manny Pacquiao.
