Its always been scropited, no matter what era of the company you think of. Ol' McMahon admitted that in the late 80's/early 90's. I ust don't get why people think its real, I might have about 15 years ago (when i was 5). From what I have read though, many people in India for example, still believe it to be real and not scripted.

But why would they be cheating anyone?
Everybody is entitled to believe what they(we) want, and unless Vince is stating something as a fact, being proved that it isn't, until then you can say it's cheating.
How words are handled regarding pro wrestling makes "Sports Entertainment" believable in both concepts as a sport and as soap opera.
By the way, it was World Wrestling Federation.

No it's not. It's WWE now, since they got screwed by a foundation that I never heard of, until they threaten the McMahon family with a lawsuit.

I know it's WWE now, but back when it was World Wrestling Federation they lost a lawsuit regarding the "WWF" initials against an institution that proved they had the right for it, so that wasn't a threat, it was a legal dispute.

Ah yeah. I watched wwf when i was younger, and has even prepared with a bag of chips and a liter of soda with my brother just so we can enjoy the full special event! But since then we watch it for entertainment purposes only an we always believe that there are of one hurt in this game, and its all scripted. I stopped watching when i was in college.

I think it was not cheating. To entertain the people they have mixed up the real and some action. However people are interested to see their action keeping in mind that it is real.

No matter what... WWE still is a fun show.
It's thrilling and somehow it gives you lessons about life.
and why would it matter if they're cheating or not?
The wrestlers put a lot in line just to entertain US, the viewers.
and a lot of us grew up with our family watching and cheering infront of the t.v because of it. :)

For me, the script is fake, but the action inside the ring is real. Those are real kicks, powerbombs and foreign objects in there, even if the ladders and chairs are softer than the original :) No matter how much acting they do, they do get hurt in there. And this is where the thrill is. WWE fans know the dividing line between real and unreal. But we still watch anyway because it's fun, and maybe some are just waiting who would get hurt next.
When I see Kofi Kingston doing all those high flying acts, I say to myself "One of these days, if he doesn't be careful, he's gonna blow out his knee. He still has about 15 years of career ahead of him."
