Did you ever know or love someone who committed suicide?

I had a childhood friend who committed suicide in her early 20s. At the time I wasn't close to her because we drifted apart after elementary school. Still, it really hit me hard because I admired her and looked up to her. She was a year older than me and I thought she had the life that I wanted. She was creative and fun, and had so many friends. Did this ever happen to you?

My mom tried to kill herself when i was a kid, she said she took quite. Lot of pills and held on to a headboard,my dad was not able to bring her to the hospital. She told us that my dad kept on letting my mom drink Chinese tea. My mom was able to do this because she thought she can on longer hold on and continue to live with my dad who was not helping her with work, and was really lazy. She came out of the experience really strong and has overcome everything even my dc leaving us for another woman years later. She is a strong woman. I admire her and have so much love for her.

It's great that she was capable of growing from the experience. We go through so many sufferings in life, and it's a miracle that we pull through.
