I actually love it. I understood what the film was about.
I understood that a person's mind can create worlds to suppress their dreary reality and make it bearable. How even a crazy person craves freedom from whatever oppression she feels. How she creates personalities and images to make her feel empowered from her reality: her captivity in the asylum.
So I say, its a crazy person's empowering journey to freedom. Even if it is not the freedom we think she ought to have. Nor the empowerment we think she should have.
And I'll be brave to say the first of its kind of genre. The action-fantasy-musical genre. A movie that pushes every boundary is a big plus on my book.

I agree with you. Its different that I must say. My husband explained to me while we we're watching it (tv release) and I understood it completely. Its complicated if you'll only watch it and not try to dive into the characters of the movie.
Although the movie is genuinely and cleverly done there's a lot of downside in it and didn't pull our (mine particularly) mind to the movie suggesting that my husband needs to explain some scenes to me. I agree with the other MyLotters that saw this movie that its hard to understand.

If you haven't seen it yet on DVD, I would say don't even wait see it in DVD, it really sucks big time, it's boring that I couldn't even watch the whole film.
Sucker Punch is better left alone, don't bother going around a film like this ....

personally i thought that it was a good movie. it was a little strange and hard to understand whats going on at first. after watching for a while the movie made more sense. its one of those movie that they could had made the story line a whole lot better. personally i thought that the ending was kind of dumb. she goes through all that work not to get anywhere. there are other ways of watching that movie with out paying money for it, the down side of it is that the video quality is not always that great. personally its one of those movies that your going to like or not like. its all a matter of what kind of movies you like. well i hope that you enjoy it if you go see it, other wise your going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

It is a good movie, the effects are very cool and the acting is good too. I really love Emily Browning and Abbie Cornish. It has the same producers as 300, a movie I also liked.. Just check it out, maybe you have different opinions with your friends.

Yes, i agree as well. This movie is targeted for the male audience. It has 5 pretty babes in there, and it's an action movie, no less. When that movie has got everything what a guy needs, what is there left for us? My brother and my bf has been asking me to watch that movie, but i'm not going. To me, that movie is just a chance for them to ogle at babes, openly.

My expectations were equal to 0, so that everything good that had this film was a plus for me. Zack Snyder knows how to take your eyes, but, unfortunately, is much sloppy with the script. Sucker Punch is a kind of combination of Alice in Wonderland and as subject Inception and development of action and a combination of video game music video with that achievement. The main problems are almost non-existent script, lack of empathy towards the characters and the acting mediocre to poor, Carla Gugino is one that shows something more. The good, as expected, are the highly successful, the atmosphere created and the soundtrack that I liked. The kind of movie to be seen at the cinema to enjoy the effects and sounds, otherwise it too is likely to attract. Age seems to me another important thing in the film collection, which will be more pleasing to the young and little to no appeal to the older you will find childish and tiresome to watch. Enjoy it!

it depends. people's opinions are subjective. You can check out the reviews. for this movie, it'd like it or you dont like it. people gave extremely opposing opinions.i watched it in the theatre. They seem to have paid so much attention to the visual effects that they did not develop the characters that much. for me, that's the only problem. idk maybe it's in the editing. i didnt regret watching it in the theatre but my bf hated it. with all the hype, he expected a lot.

I being fan of Zack Snyder was expecting much more from Sucker Punch but it cant be compared to his previous works like 300 and Watchmen, its like Alice in Warland instead of going to wonderland.Your friends are correct actually, better watch it on DVD at some lazy afternoon.

It definitely is not worth watching in a theatre. It is a serious waste of time I would say if you are even planning to watch it at home. The only reason I went to watch the movie was the fact that it was from the makers of 300.I did expect a great storyline and some serious action.I came back utterly dissapointed. So do not even bother to download.

Definitely seems that this movie sucks, just as its name says. Really, seems to be the most ridiculous and non creative movie at all. I won't waste my time either, not even on a DVD.
