when i went on a roadtrip with my friends, i only spend a night in manhattan. Hyatt in Midtown. then proceeded to Boston for 2nights. I wanted to stay longer but it's just too expensive especially with a car. overnight parking cost me 60! I decided to stay in manhattan so it's close to everything and i need not worry about my car which stayed at the hotel for the whole time i waS there. i wanted to stay longer the next time i go there. But i wonder if i shoud stay in Manhattan again or somewhere else, like new jersey maybe. how about you travel experience? any tips? for expeienced NYC traveler or residents? :)

I hear ya. We cannot afford to travel these days with the high gas prices and the high cost of everything. Right now, we just work hard to keep the regular bills paid and pay off some debts. I have never been to Ney York to give you any tips there. Maybe it would be cheaper if you bundle your services through a travel center online though.

by travel center, did u mean travel agencies that will give u a package of rooms, activities, and transportation?
it's easy to get the best deals when u've been to the place once. but in our case, we have no idea what to look for or what to expect so it's like a shot in the dark. i rely on the official tourism website and ask for brochures. they usually give travel guides and free stuff to do suggestions. trip forums help too. i find it beneficial to get in touch with local people or traveler (who have been there) with the same travel mentality as mine and hopefully they
