What's your way to relax yourself when you're stressed?

I've been working on my computer since 10:00 AM, now is 17:00 PM and I'm a little unfocused and tired. So I'm planning to leave it for a few hours because I can't handle this anymore. I will take a bath, go somewhere to buy an ice cream, then watch a movie and maybe at 20:00 PM, I will back here again. I'm working like this every single day, and I know that is not exactly healthy, but I can't avoid this, I feel like I need to work as harder as I can.
What about you? Are you working all the time, no matter what your tasks are? What do you do when you're feeling stifled and stressed?

This is how I relax too, I just add some flavored coffee and a piece of chocolate. I strongly believe that every problem can be lessened by chocolate! But it depends on the type of stress--sometimes, if I am trying to resolve a problem, then a long walk and some fresh air works better (with the chocolate, of course). But a bath and a book always helps!

well i don't work as hard as you but sometimes life itself can be strssful and so every body has a way to deal with it
as for me if i got really stressed or mad i would just go and leave the place and go walk around the city for an hour or so until i cool down (that icecream thing works ) and so i head back home and continue that's the best way for me to deaL with this kind of things

Definitely, besides work, sometimes you should handle with your life, family, the people around you, your home tasks. This is really stressful to. Me, besides working I have to keep my house clean and is just too much.

I feel like I'm working all the time. I have a 6 month son who takes up so much time and keeping the house clean seams like on on going thing, but i dont know why. I get very stressed alot about money as i'm not making any and its all down to my hubby who never seams to be around. I hate this feeling, so when I am so over worked I just sit on the floor with my son and watch him play. Or just sit on the couch and pick up a magazine when my son is napping.

Oh I can understand that. Some time ago, my 17 year old cousin had a baby, and after having a fight with her mom and leaving her house, my mom decided to host her in our house. I could see her all the time stressed because her baby took a lot of time, during the night she got up several times to see her baby, she went to several job interviews during the day but never had luck and she was always sad and stressed. It's a hard situation to handle.

All i do is sleep or sit quietly... And when i use the computer i see to it to take breaks, so i won't get so tired, I only use it for 2-3 hours then rest again. You can work harder without endangering your health.. Eat fruits and vegetables and exercise too.

yes that is what i do to when i am stressed. I leave the work and unwind like watch tv and eat something that is of my favorite and after being relaxed I come back to work again. Sometimes I sleep so that I will feel refreshed too.

I tend to really just kick back and not think all too much. Chances are, if I am in fact stressed, the fact is that I am thinking way too much. Therefore, my brain is getting slightly overheated and it is not a good thing at all. Therefore, I'm going to really sit back, relax, and really get on with my day, after I really just relax my mind. Playing some music is going to really help me as well, as it can calm a number of nerves.
Then there are times where I eat chocolate. Chocolate is remarkable with having a lot of great healing powers for the mind and it is really just going to allow me to calm down a lot of the time and really just allow my mind to calm down a lot of the time. Therefore, I am going to really eat some chocolate and get my nerves down. Also taking a nice warm bath helps. Those are just a number of things that I may do to relieve stress.

It is inevitable that we experience stress in our lives. Whenever I get stressed, I just lie on my bed and meditate. I make sure that negative and stressful thoughts will not be present on my mind. Moreover, I always make it to a point that I get to give myself any form of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Hello! If you're feeling stressed, take a brisk walk outside. But, if you don't want to go out, just stop your work, and observe your breathing. When we are stressed, we tend to breathe irregularly and when we are relaxed, our breathing is slow and even. Do this technique every time you notice that you are stressed:
Say to yourself "Stop". Then as you inhale, repeat the word, "peace". As you breathe out, smile. As you do this, let your shoulders drop and relax your hands. Repeat this technique several times when stress gets in..This was taught to me by a friend. Hope it will help you too.

I can't keep on woking all the time without any pleasure, actually after a long stretch of concentration, my mind gets tired, and if I keep going on, my mind will be in a complete blank. Relaxation is most needed. When feeling so stressed and tired, I would quit my task and shift my focus to other things. My relaxation will be going out to breathe the fresh air, jogging, listening to music, watching movies or just chatting with my friends etc. Just try to escape the turmoil of work or study, resore the energy for next task. :)

My favorite way to relax is to listen to the CDs of my favorite songs and music. In fact, I find listening to classic music, Chopin, Mozart, Johan Strauss, Brahms, Beethoven, etc., most relaxing and best way for me to get rid of the stresses of the day. I also practise "meditation" some times when I have the time. That is very good for physical as well as mental health.

I do crafts. I like to do something with my hands that is repetitive and I can get lost in the doing of it. Usually knitting or stitching. My quilting works well. It comes in handy as it is practical as well.

When i am feeling stressed just having a few momeents to find myself is heavenly. i don't even have to be doing anything. if i have a good book to read, a warm bubble bath or mny favorite horror flick that could be worthy of my time too.
