I am FINALLY caught up!!!

Hi everyone!!! I have been working since Monday to get caught up on the backlog of discussions that accumulated when I was trying to get done with my class. I finally got my inbox cleaned out tonight and was even able to go through the recent discussions that show up on the top of the page! I don't know if I will be able to get on track to get paid again this month, but if I don't...oh well...It's not like it would be the end of the world. I figure I would need to do at least 50 discussions/responses in a day for the rest of the month and I don't know if that is realistic. I do have about 10 days before my next class begins so I can come in here often, but I don't know if I have that much interest in it any more. I like having the extra money coming in, but it is not the end-all of everything if I don't make it again. Have you been in this boat before? Have a great day!!!

This is impressive to get caught up, as there are many discussions I am behind on right now and personally think I will never get caught up in that area. Now I know not every discussion my friends start do I feel like responding back too, but it would take me a couple of days or weeks to even try. And as for payment each month I have gone thru spurts where I have not been able too, and it never even bothered me. But for now as time allows I give it an earnest try and hope for the Best from there.

Thanks! I do go to the point of looking at all of the topics people start discussions on, but I pick and choose which ones to actually respond to. I think that I will take it easy the rest of this month because I don't think there is any way I can realistically expect to make almost $7 in 10 days. But that is ok. I was really bothered at first, but now I realize that I am here to have fun and to share ideas. The money is nice, but I'm not going to stress out over it because that would take the fun away from doing this! I think I will stick with my original idea of trying to do somewhere between 10-15 new responses in a day and any responses needed to other comments and responses and see where that takes me. I have one more week until classes start up again and I think I want to see if I can stay on top of things this time around. Thanks for the response!!!

When I had other things that needed my attention more, I was content to make payout less often than once a month. Yes, it is a little pocket change but it certainly is not worth stressing over. I am glad you are caught up, you did well in your class and I hope you are feeling okay with chemo.

Except for the joint pains, I feel ok. I hope that the doctor can tell me tomorrow why I have been having problems with my bladder. I just hope that they don't tell me any bad news. I hope that I will stop hurting by tomorrow because this joint pain is miserable!!! Have a great week!!!

half of my time is spent here. and i still only make payout of my measley 10 bucks every 2 months. so i have no idea how people get payout every month. im mostly here though because i enjoy it so much. so that helps with the long wait.

I would think that with as many discussions as you have participated in that you would earn much faster! What is your average in a day? I think that to make it this month, I would have to go up by over .50/day and most days I don't do that! So it looks like I will have to wait til next month, but that is ok because I have made the last two months without a problem! Have a great week!!!

Hi daeckardt, The way I see it is there are no conditions with friends, so take your time and simply do the best you can. With the number of listed friends I have, lol.. I don't know what caught up means anymore. Just respond to what interests you given the amount of time of available to do so. Off-line life must be prioritized and there is no time limit as to when we have to respond. It certainly is not the end of the world, because the discussions can be answer at any given time. Glad to hear of your time off from your classes.

Last week, I tried to get caught up with all my discussion I started. I like to respond back as much as possible. I got through some, but not all because of work and school. So finals are coming up and after that I plan on getting caught up with everything if I can. You are right, its not the end of it all if you don't get paid through mylot. Although, I'm pretty much close to cashing out, which I much earned. My goal is to respond to at least 10 discussion in a day and hopefully start a popular one, but this i'm sure I will have met payout by the end of this month.

I am like you. I hope you do ok with your finals! I know that is no fun so put what attention you need on that and don't worry about coming here. It may take a bit when you get back to get totally caught up, but you will get there!!! Thanks for the response!!!

Wow! You track the discussions and catch up those you missed? That's a lot of work. Hmmm... I only drop by from time to time and look at discussion that catch my attention. I know we earn by participating but it sounds too much like a second job as opposed to a part time hobby.

I just have my friend's discussions sent to my email. That way, I can look at them and decide if I want to respond or not. I also get the mylot digest that gives me a lot of other material that I might not otherwise look at. I just took up the challenge to make payment the last two months and I don't think I will make it this month. Thanks for the response!

Like you I am also busy with so many things, my lesson plans and generating money for more income. I am a mother of one child. My husband got a work but not permanently. What i do to have some time doing discussions and replies here is management. Have a time management... surely you will have at least 30 minutes doing mylot topics and replies too. I think that's enough to fill in the days you didn't have time to do typing plus the earning will not be stuck.

I usually do make some time every day for coming in here, but during the last week of the class I just finished, I decided to only look at direct responses to my discussions because I needed to make up three papers plus do the final paper for the class. Being in chemo doesn't help when trying to get through school. Sometimes it is hard to get myself to do anything let alone spend time trying to work on discussions. It sounds like you have great time management skills! Thanks for the response!!!

I am in the same boat, and I will certainly not make the payout this month. As you said it is not the end of the world. I am also a bit bored, maybe because the spring is too sunny here, and I will be outside more often than at myLot. I will made my payout next month or the month after. Have a nice Sunday !

I think it is almost to the point I was after I made my first two payouts. Each of those times, it was a year or more before I came in here regularly again. I doubt it would be that bad this time, but who knows??? I hope that I don't give it up that easily because I really like the people I have met this time around. Thanks for the response!!!

I feel just like that at times because it is so time consuming.Sometimes it makes you feel like doing other things is more important, like just enjoying relaxing doing other things with family or whatever. It sound like you are doing okay, I'm glad. Has the aches came back with this bout of chemo?, I'm hoping not. It would be nice if they don't.Enjoy your 10 days out of school and have a good week!

Unfortunately, the joint pains have come back again. And now I'm starting to have the numbness and tingling in my fingers that the doctor had asked me about last week. It is something that I have heard people who have been through this before talk about so it doesn't surprise me, but I wish it wouldn't happen. Thanks for the response!!!

Glad you got caught up, but don't stress out if you don't come here as often. You do have a lot on your plate right now. Hope you're feeling reasonably ok. Sending you positive thoughts.

I am far from stressing over this. I most started this discussion to let everyone know that I have responded to all the old discussions that I was going to. I am doinf fairly well right now but still have some joint pain. I go to the doctor tomorrow so hopefully he will be able to make me feel a little better. Thanks for the response!!!
