On my previous discussion, I posted the Chinese - made products will be pushed back for the next 5 years, because of it poor quality. I got some responses also stating that they would prefer to buy U.S. made products to support the local employment. I understood where they come from. What if, the Chinese - made products will improve its quality significantly in the near future, would you consider buying it more?
Because Chinese citizens might also have the same mentality, they want to support the local job rate, and they might also boycott U.S. made products the same time, if we boycott them. So, what will be the best and fair solution? Any advice?

I think quality has gone down the drain for alot of countries. the price has gone up and the quality has gone down. I think they need to start making things better with more quality because we can purely see that things are not up to parr and not lasting long at all.

I understood that. But when you come to think the production and the customers wants and demand, it is totally unbalanced sometimes. From our perspective, we want stretch the dollar as far as we can, at the same time, we want a best quality of product. Would that be possible? That involve with high quality the material to make the products and more expensive for the price. When the price gone up higher, people would buy less or won't buy at all.

Well most of the components in your computer were made in China and they are more reliable now than they have ever been.
What will happen in the near future is that millions of middle income Chinese citizens will not be satisfied with low pay and the cost of manufacturing will go up. China must take care that they do not price themselves out of the market. There are many countries who would be happy to take over their trade.

I support buying locally, Especially since our economy is doing so poorly not to mention, We owe China so so much Money I cant even fathom how we plan to pay them back. I think if things keep going the way they are going, China is gonna be The Super Powerful Country the United States once was.
Does anyone agree with me?

I think people are after the price and quality of products and where it is made. But for people with great patriotic mentality, I guess it's better to look for products made in their own backyard as long as they get what they want and need from a certain product. I disagree boycotting import products cause it will help doing away with monopoly, let's have a healthy competition in terms of product marketability. That's fair trade my friend.
