Holy Week

The Holy week is fast approaching and its only days that we once again commemorate Christ's sacrificial act of love. As for me, I will be spending my week in the path of pilgrimage-- between the core of solitude and silence. I chose to go to my father's hometown, Camiguin. It is a place where most Filipinos come to experience the in depth triduum of our Lord Jesus Christ. Reenactment of Christ death through the station of the Cross and images of Saints and Mother Mary march throughout the province.
But as how tradition is practiced well in the province would be the exact opposite of the city. I live in a City, too and I have experience how traditional act of sacrifice fade through the eyes of my generation and the younger ones. Texting, surfing the net, watching entertainment channels have become a hindrance in our reconnection to Jesus Christ in this once a year event.
I ask you now bloggers, Would you sacrifice for Jesus Christ even for a week by not surfing the net, or texting even avoiding entertainment channels? These are not only works of the religious followers but these are our works as CHRISTIANS.
CAN YOU? If you do then please spread this word.

On the other side, don't you wish to be happy because Christ actually saved you? There is nothing we can do to match what he did for us. Even we die at the very moment while doing our every day stuff our life or even the lives of a million people will not be enough to pay what he done for us. We are saved by his mercy and grace not by our own actions. Peace
