I am sure that the question we have asked the most in life is 'How are you?' and we got different kinds of replies. Some people tend to say they are fine or good eventhough they are sick or not feeling good. The strangest reply I ever got for the question is 'Still alive; it counts'.
I'm curious to see how people in your country react to the question 'how are you?'.

Well, we have a person who is a Taxi driver where I work that everytime you ask him "How are you?" he will check his wrist for his pulse and then respond "Still alive". It has caught on to the point I have seen a lot of other people doing it as well. But it does make one wonder, and be more glad that they can say this.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think the above guy is trying to be funny. No people as I know like to say 'I am not good or I am haiving a horrible day. Sometimes I have to say I am sick. If I say somebody that I am sick, then I have to explain my sickness to them and they will have some questions. I better say 'I am okay' if I don't have time to explain things to them.

That is funny. I lived in India for a long time where English is not the primary language, but most of the people know to answer to the question 'how are you'. Acording to them, they should answer 'Fine' if somebody asks you 'how are you'. Thanks for the reply.
