What kind of lies to we need?

I have to write a composition. And the topic is "What kind of lies do we need?" But i dont have any thoughts and thats why i need your all help with that :D Give me your thoughts about what kind of lies do we need :D

Little white lies. If someone asks you if their hair looks good or something and you say yes to make them feel better. Or if you were lying to surprise someone. Like a boyfriend was out shopping for an engagement ring but told his girlfriend he was working.
If it's not made to be malicious or to actually help someone, it's not always a bad thing!

Well, the thought of lies, for some people they have a hard time dealing with due to religion or there ideas on life. Lies sometimes comes in handy to a point depending on to whom you're lying, and if they would ever find the truth. Doctors sometimes lies to their patients, lawyers to their clients and politicians to the world. Kinds of lies we need? Lets just say the ones that protect our love ones, and ourselves. The best lies are the ones with about 80% truth in the mix.
