April 17, 2011 11:47am CST
mobiles are our best friends, they are very close to our heart because our close one's lives in it..... I can't live without my mobile for even a single day....... It connects us with those friends to whom we are not able to meet every day..........
It connects us with our loved one's, we hide inside the blanket at night so that our parents could not b able to see us while we are talking to dear one's..........

Well, that's true. Mobile phones are great for connecting with loved ones and friends... But personally, I'm not too fond of texting (much less calling) unless it's necessary. The main reason why I got a celphone in the first place was for school/work. Nowadays, I actually use the computer (and internet) more than my celphone. =P

Indeed mobiles are very helpful in this new era. People are able to communicate with each other in a fast pace and relay messages without having to wait for a response for a very long time. However, there is always a con and a pro regarding the use of mobile phones. While its main purpose is for communicating, some people tend to abuse this. Mobile phones are sometimes used as tools to spread scandals and other undesirable things. Thus, people must always bear in mind to use everything in moderation and consider the effects that might come along in its use.

I think its one of the best inventions and developments of the past century. I remember when I was a kid (not so long ago) and there were no affordable mobile phones, and if I went out somewhere, I would have to finalise everything with my parents before going so they could pick me up safely afterwards. These days, people dont need to worry so much about their kids, because they can always call them up.
On the other hand, people's parenting styles have become complacent BECAUSE they think they know where their kids, are, when their kids are going out causing trouble everywhere. Also kids use their mobile phones in class at school and teachers have a really hard time stopping them. So in that respect, it is kind of a bad thing, but thats more responsibility and boundaries from parents rather than being the mobiles fault.
I like the convenience of calling up my partner whenever I like at work and reminding him to pick something up on the way home or whatever.

I agree with you,as I can't go without my cell phone either. Since I don't have a landline, it is my only way of keeping in touch with my family and friends besides seeing them on my computer. I take my cell phone with me wherever I go, and when I can't because it is being charged, I feel like I don't have everything. I just am so dependent on my phone, that I don't know what I would do if I didn't have it. Take care, and have a very good day.
