Actually we have our own opinion about friendship, it may be helpful to others who can relate, or it may be not applicable to those who are not in the situation. I think, i should say that your worst enemy sometimes is your friend we as humans,why because he/she knows your secret, it will be a tool for him/her to use it against you, he/she knows your weaknesses its really a case to case basis. I do agree for sometime that your enemy happens to become a true friend, why? At first there seems to be a conflict when you meet someone because you have two different ways in life, but acceptance follows,sometimes we can't tell that why we hate the person is because, he/she becomes the reflection of our very own personality. We hate the attitude he acts, it is simply because it's our very own attitude that surfaces by others. Then we realize later that it is something that we need to pay attention for a change to our very own selves. We try to learn from others base on experiences. We meet people for sometime we don't want to deal with, but giving ourselves a chance we learn many things from the people who were opposite to us. That's was a simple comment i can share for now, maybe it was not acceptable to some readers. But i believe that we have different opinions.

Yup, you are correct, real friend is like a rare diamond, it so difficult to be found. But I was so lucky, I have One. Being their in good and bad happenings in my life, proved that he is a true friend of mine.

To be honest, I dont have any true friends at all. Its quite sad to be honest, but everyone I've met has shown their true colors in one way or another. This is such a bad situation, that I want to move countries in the hopes that people elsewhere would be a bit friendlier, caring and trustworthy.
