What is going on with Nicolas Cage?

I really feel bad with what happened to his career. He is my favorite actor and i have a big crush in him. I hope he can cope up with all these stress and financial matter. He's been a good man,maybe he was just too upset that he did not intended to hurt his wife.

Perhaps, the decline of his career and his financial problems is taking toll on his personal life. He has great projects before but now, all the movies he did starred in were not really quality films, some were also flop too! The last Nicolas Cage movie i've seen was the Sorcerrer's Apprentice. I did not like it that much. Nicolas hasn't not been choosy nowadays with the projects he's accepting.

Is he the one who had a short marriage with Elvis's daughter? I guess people change overtime and probably his brush with the law has got to do with his hidden character that is not known to his fans.

I am shocking to hear this news. Nicolas Cage is also one of my favorite actors. He has acted many heros in the movies. And in the real world, he seems to be a good person, too. His marriage with his Korean wife seems to be sweet and they have a child. In the past the news said he loved his wife very much and he even fell in love for the first sight when he saw his wife. It is hard for me to believe that he was abusive to his wife. I wonder whether it is true. I love China

I heard he was drinking a little to much and got into an argument with his wife and grabed her arm. The argument was about a house that he said they were renting while staying down in New Orleans and she was telling him it wasn't. When the police showed up he was hitting cars. He then tried to get into a cab and that is when the police tried to get him out to arrest him. He has been down in New Orleans filing another movie.

....Hi carolscash, I like Mr. Cage as an actor as well, I like most of his movies. I think it's another case of a person liking to drown themselves in the bottle to get away from their perceived problems. The argument between he and his wife reportedly started over Cage thinking they were at the house that they had rented in New Orleans and his wife trying to tell him it was not the right house. Then he grabbed her arm and started to kick the cars that were parked on the street in a rage. If you cannot control your drinking you should try to drink less when you are going to be out in public. Drink at home, but then if the drinking is controlling you, therein lies the problem. Cheers.

Personally it is Sad when you hear of actors that you really enjoy ending up in trouble like this. Many times it is something else going on within themselves that causes things like this too happen. I would assume there is something not right in his Marriage or his Career, and he just was going thru a Bad moment in his life and took the wrong way out. Hope things will improve somehow from here.

Really I have not heard that? Will check it out. Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite male actors. I love his National Treasure series and look forward to the next movies. That is unfortunate about his wife. Because he is in the public eye and his dirty laudry is displayed.

Nobody's life can be perfect. Even in the entertainment world, ptoblems can occur just as they do everywhere else. Everyone has flaws and everyone makes mistkes. We just have to live with them and move on the best we can. it doesn't mean that we should be like or disliked for it.

Well maybe he is affected by how his career is going or some other reasons which I still think is not enough for him to act that way.I hope that he will come to his senses or ask medical, psychiatric help to deal with his problem. I still think that it is not too late for his career and his private life.He can start all over again and people around him must be more patient and understanding and not put judgement on him always.

I heard and were aware about this, but didn't really follow what was going on with him. Somehow this seems very coincidental with the media hype surrounding Charlie Sheen. While Charlie got so much media attention, I haven't heard lots of news regarding Nicolas Cage. I almost forgot that there was something going on with him. To public and the whole world, you and I and many others don't really exactly know what is going on with him and others that has been reported in his case. This seems to be a case of midlife crisis. Again, we might never know any details.

It might just be publicity for all we know..., I don't really believe the news about actors to be totally true, sometimes they have this hidden agendas...

This is really bad news.He always has been one of my favourite actors.He acts so cool in his movies.If this incident is because of his declining career then he has no one but himself to blame for it.I will remember him as the guy who acted in some great movies like the rock,the ghost rider(I loved the movie),face off and broken arrow.

Nicholas Cage is by far one of the best actors in Hollywood. I really like his many works and he has many personalities. Wonder if many years of different roles and personalities could be the reason for his running with the law. He is from bad guy to good guy in the movie and i think this might have had a toll on his life.

He owes so much to the IRS, millions, that it has to be stressing him out. I mean he sold several of his vacation homes, one of his planes, and a lot of antiques, but apparently that didn't take care of his back taxes. That's why he has been in so many cr*p movies lately. He's taking everything it seems so he can pay it all off and not have to sell any more of his homes and airplanes. There is no excuse for domestic violence of course, but it is sad to see a one time Oscar winner go on such a downward spiral.
