I never thought to use it to freshen my face, but thats a good idea as it does have the fresh feeling after. I used to use it for spots.

Ouch! I didn't know that people do this. Well, actually this is a myth, toothpastes contain menthol which is very irritating and sensitizing ingredient for skin, is definitely banished from the world of skin care. Just read this: http://www.healthcentral.com/skin-care/c/38641/20622/work-pimples Who uses toothpaste should know that no every invention or home remedy or grandma's suggestion works, just do research before using something, under the words "skincare" and "health" and don't look at regular blogs and natural remedies and skincare sites, medical sites are always the best. Toothpaste is not safe for skin.

Funny to know there are people who tries things like that. But not me. Toothpaste is for the teeth so I don't think I will use this on my face as long as there is facial soap around. I don't think toothpaste is mild enough for my face so I am not really going to take the risk.

I have never tried using toothpaste to wash my face and wonder if there is tingling and or burning associated with it. I can imagine it being an exfoliate because of it's ingredients. I wonder also if it dries out the facial skin?

Well from my friend that used it, it does not dry out the skin or exfoliate... It just cleans the face...I use a bit anytime I wash my face. So not that burning sensation...

Using toothpaste to clean face, what a funny thing. I use the soap to clean my face. I have not tried ever. I am going to try once after hearing this.

I haven't use toothpaste to clean or wash my face. Isn't that odd? I haven't heard anyone who uses a tootpaste as replacement for facial wash-- only here in myLot haha. I'll try that at home later and I'll tell you my experience LOL

I have never tried this. The only time I have put toothpaste on my face is when I have had a bad pimple that I wanted to get rid of. It seemed to work for that. Might have to try it sometime.

Well they say that you can use toothpaste as a spot treatment for zits and cold sores, so I'm sure that it is fine to use. I have never done it, but I have washed my hands with it before.

I have done this on stubon spots. It dries them out and makes them go away faster. So instead of it being red and lasting a week, it will last just a few days if that long at all. I haven't done it in a while though, I thankfully haven't had too many spots.

I'll definitely pass that option for my face treatment. I'm a woman but I don't have the time and budget to go to beauty expert, I only wash and treat my face/skin in a simple way. Now, the fact that toothpaste is for teeth, so in my opinion it won't be suitable for face. I won't try it because I'm afraid it'll damage my skin and will cost me an appointment to the skin doctor, lol. Have a nice day.

that was insane toothpaste are made to clean teeth and not your face... plus toothpaste are kinda minty and menthol so i think it will cause some rushes or anything with your face. you said you did it secretly and now broadcast it in mylot

Whats the insanity there in trying things out?...yes I tried secretly without telling the person I saw use it and I like the way it cleans my face and the tingling effect I got afterwards and I share with my friends...so... Have you tried it?...when trying it just use a little first and see if you have any reaction or not okay...;)

No, but I have used it to clean my hands of pine pitch and alike. It works great and does not dry out your hands like the harsh hand cleaners.

I have tried that when i was in my teens because there was this toothpaste which has microbeads to clean the teeth and i thought i could use it as an alternative to facial scrub. It was very cool to the skin and it felt great but it doesn't have any effect on my skin at all. I didn't see any difference. But toothpaste is a quick remedy for pimples but not as a facial wash but as a topical cream. It can help the swelling of the pimple and can make it smaller because of it's cooling effect.

It might depend on the type of toothpaste you use. There is one kind that I know is too sticky for my skin because when I get it on my hands its really thick. I wouldn't want to use it on my face, but if it really works better than a regular cleanser I would try it. I have sensitive skin, so maybe it's better for normal skin?

I havent used toothpaste to clean my face. but I have heard it helps to remove pimples. Now, how true that is I dont really know. Im not even sure if thats something i'm willing to try, especially after you said it dried your face out. So I think i'll tell a friend or two about it and let them try.
