Do you draw on computer?

If you draw on computer, what software or website do you use? I just found out about sumopaint.com. The basic tools are free and you can use it straight from the website, and save your work on there. One thing I want to know if you have used these programs, is how do you draw? I saw some tutorials on drawing cartoon characters, and some on fantasy art. But I saw one drawing that looked like a real portrait, and I want to learn how to do that. I tried playing around and realized that you could get effects just like real erasing(not just covering in white) by changing opacity and flow, but I haven't gotten it down exactly. Also, do you use tablet or regular mouse pad? Right now I only have a laptop with a small touch screen for a mouse.

Hi sashakiddo! I like to draw on programs such as Photoshop CS2 and Elements 7 but I love drawing with SAI PainterTool. I don't draw with a mouse but I draw with a Slim Graphic Tabet. I got it for Christmas and it came with Photoshop Elements 7 and ArtRange for $70. I don't have a steady hand so it is hard for me to draw with a mouse. But with the tablet, it is almost like drawing on a piece of paper because it has an LCD pen and you draw with it. It even has a pressure system so if I draw hard, it shows thick lines and if I draw light, it draws thin lines. If you want to learn how to draw more realism, try picking up a book first on how to draw. I don't know how touch screens work so look in to that as well! I hope for the best!

I guess that's not too expensive, but I wonder if it costs more when it doesn't come with the Photoshop? Could it be used with other programs? I will have to look this up later. Sounds like a good investment.

I don't really draw on PC I prefer drawing by hand. Sometimes I do draw something simple and I usually use Paint for that :D I have used Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop in the past. I guess I could start learning how to draw with them though.

I prefer drawing by hand as well, i just feel like i should jump the bandwagon since so many people are using the computer now for art. Still I will never lose my love for hand drawn art.

I never heard of picnik, i will look it up. Paint is fun, but I haven't been able to make a realistic drawing with it.

Hello shakiddo. I have drawn some pictures in the past. I used Jasc Paintshop Pro and Adobe but preferred the first one. I would say paint as well, but that is for kids play not for real drawing.

Yes, I have seen some really good art using Paint, and I tried but didn't have the patience for it.

I draw on the computer but I'm still a newbie. I just bought my first tablet last month and have been practicing with it. I use Adobe Photoshop. I find it easy to draw there because of the layers. It's easy to erase and add details with the layers. I've heard of a program called "Paint Tool SAI". It sounds promising and I would like to try it when I get the chance.

...Hi there sashakiddo, I have never drawn on a computer, but this website address that you have given sounds very interesting. I am an artist, I draw and I paint, I have had several art shows and I sell my pieces. But I would love to be able to do something like you are trying to do on the computer. I am going to check out the website and see what is involved. Thank you so much for the information. Keep trying and experimenting, I am sure that in time you will be satisfied with what you achieve. Take care.

I hope you have fun with it! Since you already have experience with painting and drawing you will probably find it easier to use the program.

hi, yes, i do,its more accurate because the only thing you can do is to insert shapes or what thing you want to,sometimes i only draw those basic shapes but its hard when i use mouse to draw because i cant really control it carefully to make the shape perfectly.

Drawings does not comes that much easily to all, someone who draws well would have interest in it very truly. I like to draw much, i have done many drawings in chart. Usually i don't draw in computer, hand drawing will be good while comparing with computer drawing. But sometimes tried drawing in computer long ago. I like to know about photoshop and animation also, but still now not got any chance to learn it.

digital art is awesome! I paint with Photoshop and Painter X. It's much more money friendly since you only have to pay for electricity. :P But yeah, I'm using those two with my wacom graphic tablet for about 4 or 5 years now. Something like that. And I'm loving every minute of it. The only thing I'm missing is a descent laptop so I could work anywhere I go. But as for all artists for me to the biggest problem is money. As for learning...you just have to draw a lot. Read books if you're really into it. And again. Draw... A LOT. :) I needed some time to get used to the tablet but that's like a week or so. And after that I could sit behind the desk for 12 straight hours or more without food or shower lol It's just a must have if you're into digital art is all I'm gonna say. :)
