Hello! I am proudly a Filipina. I have not gone outside the country yet, but I am planning to do so, when I have the right finances for it. But, I had travelled to a lot of places in the Philippines already and I had discovered that there's more to discover about Philippines! Which place do you want to visit? :)

The Philippines is a beautiful place so I wonder why many Filipinos migrate in other countries and then miss the beauty of the Philippines. It's summertime so maybe the best destination is the beach. As for me, I think I am going back to Boracay this summer and enjoy this wonderful place once again.

Geez! My experience was different when we first went there.
My husband got those piso fare trips and he scheduled our trip in June, the rainy month.
So we had a windy vacation trip in Boracay.
The weather was gloomy and I really didn't enjoy the sand because when the wind blows the sands hit our legs terribly. As if we were being whipped!
But there were alot of activities there like parasailing and wind surfing.
I guess we'll experience differently when we plan to go back next year for our annual family trip!

In my own opinion, Filipinos migrate to other countries because they are looking for a greener pasture. In other countries, they are paid higher and maybe that explains why they migrate to other countries. Boracay! Wow! Everyone will surely enjoy Boracay! I love the white sand, the water, the seabreeze! Wow! Have you tried helmet diving and parasailing? In Boracay, it is offered. If you would want to explore more of the Philippine beaches, you can visit Palawan, Caramoan Islands in Camarines Sur and Panglao beaches in Bohol. Have a great summer, Salonga! :)

We've been to Bohol some 2 years ago and the place was just beautiful. It was just 2 hours ferry ride from Cebu. The Bohol tour can be done in a day with an overnight stay at Panglao. We had a sumptuous lunch at Loboc River. The sights at Loboc is really breath-taking. They have white sand beaches too however we didn't enjoy our dip because it was low tide and it wouldn't get any higher until the following day where we are scheduled to leave.
@nikki. We were suppose to have a Camiguin trip last January but we forgo it for our annual trip last March in Davao. I started researching about the place and figured they have a lot of hot springs and good snorkeling sites out there. It is just 2 hours ride from Cagayan de Oro city where you can do some zipline and white water river raftering. Really cool!

hi. I'm pinay, too. I went to Bohol last month with my boyfriend and brother. We only stayed overnight in Panglao. Very prestine beachline. But I have to say, I find Boracay is still better. We spent the whole day touring the area from the butterfly sanctuary up to the famous Chocolate Hills. It was a long road travel but scenics are usually always on the way. If your going with friends, it's always better to transact outside the port for land transportation. You can get big discounts and can modify your tour according to your choice.

I want to go to Caramoan too!
2 of my office mates had been there. Although they say the accommodations were quite pricey. Yeah it was the location of Survivor France. In pictures, it looks like Palawan with the limestone formations.
Did you went to CamSur Watersports Complex where you go for wake boarding?

Hello there! Same here. I have been to Palawan too. It was really a great place, isn't it?
Bicol, I've been there last February. The Mayon Volcano is really a perfect-coned shaped volcano. Too bad, we haven't experienced the all-terrain vehicle. But, the scenic spots in Bicol, was the very beautiful paradise of Caramoan Islands, it is in Camarines Sur. We had been there too. That was also known as Survivor's Islands because some foreign Survivors had their shoot there. Caramoan looks like Palawan. Almost. And hey! If you would want to visit Bicol, don't forget to drop by to Legazpi City's Embarcaderos Mall, and try the Chili Ice cream of 1st Collonial Grill Restaurant.
Bataan and Batanes... I will soon be there! :)

I grew up in Baguio. For someone who hasn't seen Baguio I think it is a nice place to visit. It would be a breather to go to a colder place. You can tour the whole Baguio for a day. It is quite a nice experience to go harvest your own strawberries at La Trinidad farm. And yes there are a lot of souvenir items available in Maharlika and a lot of Ukay-Ukay in Abanao. You may want to visit Baguio during the flower festival called Panagbenga every February where you get to see floats wrapped up in different types of flowers. While America has the rose parade, the Philippines has the Panagbenga.
I have been to Pagudpud when it wasn't been developed and I must say the place indeed has a potential in becoming a prime tourist destination in our country. Do drop by to see the Unesco World Heritage sites in Vigan and the Paoay Church in Paoay.

I am also a filipina and yes i appreciate the beauty of our country. I really want to visit boracay and experience its white sand beach and clear blue green waters. I havent been to baguio, the summer capital. I want to try the night outs at session road, take pictures of the beautiful flowers and eat treats like strawberry tarts, peanut brittle, chocoflakes and halaya. I also want to check the 'ukay-ukay' there, they said it originally started from baguio. Though very far I also want to visit Pagudpud they said that its breathtaking sceneries will captivate your heart. Its a worth paid visit as many said.

Really? Is this just recent? Because when we went there last March we didn't see the fountains. The People's Park was the first we went to visit on our first day to Davao. It was just a walk from where we were staying. And we got lots of pictures with the gigantic stone sculptures of Kublai who happens to be the brother-in-law of our friend who was our tour guide then.
@mhaibless. I hope you can come to Davao soon and experience Kadayawan festival again. We were hoping to buy some mangosteens there but the seller says it only is in season during the festival. Mangosteens are quite expensive in Manila.

You should visit sometime to see one added feature by the Mayor of Davao. There is now a Dancing Fountain in People's Park which is for free. It starts from 6pm-8pm.

Is there such a thing as underground river scuba diving?
Haven't heard of it when I did my research for Palawan before going on a trip.
It was my first time to snorkel and I wasn't disappointed with the kind of fishes that I saw. I haven't scuba dive in my life I thought I would have experienced it when we went to Davao but it was pricey so we beg off. But I hope to do scuba diving someday!

I agree. Truly, Palawan is one of the best places in the Philippines that you can really enjoy and will take your breath away. I have been to Palawan once. I have tried scuba diving there, but not the underwater cave scuba diving. I must have tried that. :(

Hello there. I have seen photos of the Philippines and think it is a very beautiful country. I would adore a trip there to go island hopping and snorkeling around the coral reef. When I go there I will try to fly into Cebu rather than Manila so I am a shorter distance away from Bohol Island. There I would love to see the Chocolate Hills. I know that the local people are very friendly indeed. I know that prices are reasonable after the expensive flight all the way from Europe to get there.

I want to visit Palawan, especially the El Nido Beach there. I also want to see the beauty of Tubataha reefs, and the underground rivers! It's my goal to visit the place by next year.

Palawan beaches are just very breathtaking! The stone formations are very splendid, the waters are just so clear, greenish-bluish in color, so clean! The sand is just so fine and super white in color! It is really worth it to go to Palawan! I miss Palawan!

I must agree! Palawan is my top tourist destination in the Philippines right now, although I haven't really toured every 7.100 islands in our country!
There are just so many places to go to in Palawan. We've been to Puerta Prinsesa last year and saw the Underground River and Honda Bay islands. I was amazed by the limestone formations on their mountains and the seascapes are really breath taking. I think you need to have a separate trip to El Nido and Coron. I'll definitely go back to see these places.

I would love to visit Bohol and Palawan. I love nature and I know these two provinces offers one the best scene when it comes to nature trip. Boracay and Anawangin are both congested already during summer, but I would love to visit these places as well.

I have never also had the opportunity to travel outside the country too.
But in the future, I am hopeful that I can travel overseas.
Right now I'm just contended traveling to the different places in our country and I realize that there are a lot to see in the Philippines that can compete to sights you can see in other countries.
When I was in College I only been to places in the North where I grew up, Baguio, Pangasinan and Ilocos. But when I married my husband whose job usually requires him to travel to different places in our country, our family had a tradition to take out of town trips once a year.
Our first family trip was in Boracay in 2008. 2009 Cebu-Bohol, 2010 Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan and 2011 Davao-Cebu. We'll be back in Boracay in 2012.
I'm looking forward to going back in Palawan to see El Nido and Coron, Cagayan De Oro-Camiguin and Camoroan. I just love the Philippines!

If I had my way, money and time, I will definitely go to Batanes. I been hearing good reviews about the island and I like to explore that place without the hassle and bustle of a commercial tourist spot. Besides, I like the simplicity and the freedom that the island offers. There won't be need for any fuss, just plain exploring and enjoying the view and the island itself.

Hubby wants to go to Batanes, he says it is a picturesque place.
I was never fascinated about mountain views but maybe if I see Batanes my opinions would change otherwise.
