Look at the Map of the Philippines try to find the center. Their you can the hidden Paradise, Sombrero Island. A beauty of a virgin Island was really characterize this secret place. I been there twice already, and every time I was there, the excitement remains the same as i was been there for the first time. The very first thing you will notice in that island was its sand, a pure white as white as in the boracay. And in its side you can find the the reason white it is been called the Sombrero Island, A small separated Hat shaped island made it a unique destination. It is also a sanctuary of Pawikan, in its sand a female pawikan hatch there eggs, that's why it was declared as a Protected Area Sanctuary for the Pawikan. If this place were developed properly I really convince that it well be very popular destination for sure. You can view this link, to see what this place looks like.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMWU6RTYnMc&feature=related or just type Sombrero Island, Burias Island, in youtube...

never heard of this island before but good that you are making the world and our fellow Filipinos know about it. Maybe it could become the next boracay :) Hope I can go to the place too and discover its beauty :)

I'm sure, if you had chance to be their, you never regret. We never try to had a scuba diving their, but I'm very sure that the Corals that are present their was amazing. That place was own by a one family and the had made a move of preserving that Islands and declaring it as a protected area. No one are allowed their to go fishing in 1 kilometer radius of that island. If you are lucky like us when we go their, we saw a school of fish, many fish, circling around the island..I really love to go back in that place.

If there is one thing I am so excited about Filipinos right now, everyone is introducing to the world the paradise that is the Philippines. Truly, there are so many hidden, pristine, and untapped destinations that are so breathtaking, like this Sombrero Island. My nephew was just telling me about Pagudpod. He claims it is where heaven meets earth. The Philippines is truly a haven for everyone who likes to rest and enjoy nature...

Is this the Sombrero island located in Batangas? I've seen some of the pictures of this island and it looks relaxing, if it the same place we're talking about.

No. It is in Bicol, in Masbate province. I heard also of that sombrero island in Batangas. Try to scan the picture, here's the link, www.buriassecrets.webs.com/apps/photos/?ss=10859352
