so tired, and helplessly sleepy in public transport

Have you ever had a seat mate in bus or in public trains who is so sleepy they always almost fall. Sometimes they fall to your shoulder, and sometimes you feel they are about to fall face flat on the standing passenger in front of them. Well i just had one to my right a while ago on my way home. She looks really tired! So if this happened to you or will happen to you, what will you do? Let em sleep on your side? Or wake them up?

I have experienced having a seatmate like that. At first, i just let her. But as it progresses the head became so heavy. I have to nudge her with my shoulder and she would awaken, then in a while would sleep again. Good thing, i have to alight already.

Hi Chiyosan, Honestly it happened to me as well. I was working and doing my masters degree. So it will be a tiresome day. And I slept without knowing i falling on next seat mate. But he was so kind, that he gave me the window seat. Later I woke up and said sorry for nuisance. He appreciated saying am hard worker, so nothing to worry.

Actually, I have such experience and I always fell asleep when I was in the bus. If I were you, I would wake them up, because I don't feel good when someone strange lean against myself.

Just let that person sleep on your shoulder. He/she must have been very tired. Besides, if that person is just sleeping and he/she doesn't do something bad, it's okay.

It still hasn't happened to me for someone unkown sitting in the same bus to fall asleep on my shoulder, but if such a thing happened I wouldn't let that person sleep in peace,I would try to wake the person as gently as I could.

Hi Chiyosan, This happens to me all the time. I try to ignore them unless they are lying comfortably and not falling. I had this guy sitting next to me, he seemed so tired and he was so sleepy that he kept on dozing off and nearly fell on my shoulders. I ignored once, twice even thrice. But he kept falling. Then i swapped my seat with him so that he could rest his head on the window and sleep without falling.

It has never happened with me. But i think that when it will happen i will just wake the dude up. Or another way is just to leave and take another seat if there is some free space, but when there isnt free space left then i just push him away or wake him up. Because i dont like strangers sleeping on me.

i would be grateful if she's a cute one. i'll let her sleep until my destination bus stop, then i'll wake her up gently and say "miss, i'm sorry but you fall asleep on me, sadly i have to go but if you really need shoulder to sleep on, i would accept it gratefully. :D come on guys, don't waste any chance.

So many times it happened to me while travelling in trains as well as buses. As I had to travel longer destinations I had been opted for bus journey mostly. Someone sitting beside me who is sleepy, as it was night journey, falls on my shoulder, is happened several times. I am habituated to this and make my journeys as usual.
