It does not feel right! Moms breast feeding in public places! Wow. This morning in the train, i just say this happened. The train is packed with male passengers and this young mother just went ahead and fed her son. I an not for this in public. I have friends who uses pumps so they can bottle feed their baby. Am i just being too sensitive about this? I saw that most of the men and women in the train felt really uncomfortable and well my opinion is that even if you are married and had kids its still not very appropriate to expose yourself like that in public, right?

I'm not a Religious person, but I believe in God. I believe God created humans in His likeness and Image. If this is so our bodies are sacred and pure, just like our Creator's. How can anyone say that doing God's work in public is ugly, or immodest? Who can say that feeding a hungry child makes them feel uncomfortable? So its not appropriate to do God's work in public! The crazy thing about this is that Christians have the most trouble with this concept.

My God whats wrong with people? I went to college with a guy who had 4 perfectly formed nipples, and no one lusted after his chest. He was treated exactly like everyone else,(even though he did enjoy taking off his shirt in public!) None of the other guys wanted more than 2, but I believe if there had been a boy there with no nipples he might have been a social outcast.

Barehugs, I think it's more lust and the near worship of that chest that makes it a problem. For me, before Playboy came out, it was nothing to spot a woman feeding her baby. You didn't see much because of the way the clothes were made. But as I said above, all of a sudden, they were something to see and lust for. Girls wanted larger ones, times changed, and it became one of the favorite body parts that all men love. Men might have lusted for them before, but it wasn't that much of a deal when I was young.

As a woman who gave up her baby for adoption as well as adopted, and heard all this about bottle feeding not giving the babies the optimal start in life, my feelings are different. I think br*st milk and if I had my way, mothers who could br*st feed their babies could donate their milk so that adoptive mothers and those who cannot nurse can give their babies a head start. And it would not be just for premmies as it is here in Manitoba. Ido not know if future nutrition can make up for those first couple of years, For nursing in public, as long as the mother is discreet and covers her br*st with a blanket, it is no problem. It is when she sticks out her br*st so that she says "I am a real mother! I can nurse!" then it becomes a problem.

I see at many time. But mother cover her with clothe moreover. But I thing nothing is abnormal in it. It is only our attitude. Just think mother feeding her child instead of a young woman feeding her child. Mother is great wheather yours or others.

I kinda share your feelings with this.I understand they have to feed their babies but i think they should get a blanket or something to cover themselves its weird seeing people exposed.

Yes its really not appropriate, and of course you are not only one to think so. It looks very bad when someone expose himself/herself in public places. Person doing this doesn't feel odd. They just have a habit, and so they don't get ashamed. That mother could drink her child through bottle, but he didn't may be she don't have bottle at that time. But what she could do if the child is crying aloud for a long time, and journey is very long! I am really confused what to do in such a situation. I am a boy so i don't worry about it.

Thanks for your response, i guess if she is to be on a long trip, she should have fed the child before leaving their home or she can come out prepared with the bottled milk.
