Is it good to be good all the time?

Good day Mylotters! I just want to share something. It all started with the actions of a person. Yes, actions. These are daily occurrences that could happen to anyone, whether good or bad. You see, I've been observing my high school friends ever since a long time ago and it seems that there are some friends who tend to be all good and seems to be perfect, stuff like that. What I mean is they are always the good ones (those who are kind and religious), having good grades and other stuff too.
Then the bad ones (naughty or lazy ones, seems to hate the world or emotional) are always the one suffering, seems to me that they are really living in a very desperate situation where most of them are from broken families.
So my question is, does a person have to be good all the time in order to have a stronger personality, faith and could lead to a better life. What do you think?

being good is deep within us. its up to us whether we flourish it or just repressed it. yes, we have our own personal reasons. and that is our own prerogative. In my personal experiences, I can't be as good as all the time. Due to some arguments or even just trying to defend yourself to others. But as much as i could, I will make it to a point where hatred and negative personalities of me will turn into positive one.

Yes, I sometimes over defend myself in order to stand up on your side. It is true that there are some people though who have hard time with that and their resolve to those kind of problems is violence, usually I can be categorized at that but it only triggers when I get really mad. Times like those would eventually lead to self-pity and conscience, just like what you've said. It will turn positive. Thank you!

I agree with that but it is not always give us the good consequences when we always feel good about life and that is what I call as life test. When things happen difference that what we expected then here the life test come to us. It is a test for us to show whether we can accept, fight and try to figure ways to solve it or give up to it. About the bad ones, they are not actually bad it is just because they can't accept the truth of their life and did nothing to make it better. So they will just follow the flow and will always be the bad one.

It is really a test for us especially when we are facing great problems or troubles. I have to agree with that because our actions depend on our situation that we are dealing with. There are other 'bad' people though who I think accepted the truth but are afraid of showing it. There are times like that when they have to act like that. I really hope the bad ones could change. Thank you for the comment!

Yup in fact people need to be more good on the road because a lot of people get road rage and take it out on other drivers which is not right. For me I love to be a good person to always do good deeds and to always keep my cool so that I won't be stressing out or anything like that. A person who only lives to just do wrong in life and just to be a meanie well they will never get anywhere because they are always going to be filled with hate that they want to take out on others to make themselves feel better, but the truth is they will never get anywhere their life will be full of misery and the path that person walks will be a gloomy one.

About the circumstances at the road, I really have to agree because most people tend to be very impatient whenever it is rush hour. I see, so you are trying to avoid bad events so that you won't be stressing, I like that attitude. It's comforting to hear from you. Yes, the meanies are really not getting anywhere in life only if they realized their mistakes and decided to change for the better.

For me, i think, it depends on person to person to make that choice to be good or bad according to the situations. Only people with religious belief try to keep up being good all the time, otherwise any person would find it difficult to control being good all the time. Human life is so complicated that even though everybody want to keep up with the good things, still they trespass, make mistakes. Bad definitely attracts easily, but its all in your self control and self will. Again, its entirely your choice to be good; at the end of the day - "Good reaps Good and Bad reaps Bad".

What you said is 100% true, it is always your choice to make good decisions/actions or bad ones only depending on the situation you're at. One must also need the self-control and faith in order to do the right decisions all the time. The last statement is really one of the quotes that I really like. But somehow, there are times that being all too good/bad could make one reap the counter way. Thank you!

When I first saw the topic, I thought of course not because sometimes the good become manipulated by other people or are taken advantage of. As a Christian though (if you are a Christian), we should emulate Jesus Christ. Therefore, no matter how hard it is to be nice and good, we have to be. :)

There are times that the good become over manipulated by other people. Yes, true enough, I have to agree on that. Yes, I'm a Christian and I really need to be more religious these days and focus on Jesus being the center of my life. Thank you for the response!

First of all, I would like to say that I don't believe anyone can be good and do the right thing all the times. It's also my opinion that you sometimes have to make mistakes and be "bad", that's the only way you'll truly learn anything. By being bad I don't mean really delibratly hurting others (physical or mental), but just sometimes you have to think of yourself and be selfish, what a lot of people also consider to be bad.

Yes, being bad can make you learn new things and not all too goodiebag all the time. There are times that I have to think selfish in order for the others to learn. It is really effective. What I really like about 'bad' actions is that you'll learn something good.

I think everyone has their less good sides no matter how good and successful you show up being among people. The most miserable in poverty have probably good qualities as well as less good sides. We, humans are were complex beings with what can be seen as goos and bad. Some are just better to show up all their good sides all the time. But if you were with them 24 h 7 days a weeek, you would perhaps see other sides of them.

The other side of them is always hidden. True, because they're living in a different home. That's right. Thank you for the advice! I really appreciate it. It somehow lifted my spirits up a bit. I just remembered something when I was reading your comment, I remembered the 'Little Prince'. He said, "What is essential is invisible to the eye." I have to agree with your comment. Thank you very much!

being bad, will give you mistakes in life from which you will be able to learn. for me that's the most important thing. im always looking forward to big learnings from small life incidents everyday. i dont have to be "literally perfect" to be perfect in the eyes of many, cause i know i cant please everybody. for me i jut have to be real, with all my flaws and opposites.

Thank you for your response. Sometimes, I get a little distracted and envy with the others, especially those who are really good at handling things. I get quite jealous easily, that's why. What I love about is that I am able to balance the two, the good actions and the bad actions. Thank you again!
