Nostalgic for Child-Like Activities

I remember being a child and going to play in the rain, feeling so free without a care in the world. I miss those days, sometimes playing and dancing in the rain is things that adults need. To be able to liberate ourselves from lives everyday stress. I have always been mature for my age, but sometimes I need child-like activities to take a load off and make myself feel 20 years younger because usually I feel 20 years older than my actual age. Next time life gets too stressful, remember the little things in life you enjoyed as a child and just do it... we need an escape sometimes from life's demand to be so grown!

Actually I'm 22 lol, not much of a difference though. I know what you mean, but someone else left a comment about how they had it rough young too and then when they reaced their goals and it was easier, and that is kind of my situation. I was brought into this world in a rough home, and I'm trying to make something of myself. I may be young, but I basically raised myself and had to grow up fast. The point I was making was to stop and enjoy the simple things in life sometimes, so that we aren't consumed in everyday life stresses and miss out on some of the great things we once enjoyed.

you can still do childlike things as you get older, you just have to be a bit more discreet about it.
i went to collect a parcel today, from the sorting office, and its near the beach, so i decided to go for a walk on the beach first, and i went all the way down to the water, as the tide was out, and got my feet wet, and that was quite good fun.
and i saw a child running about and i thought how innocent he/she looked.
you can still play in the rain when you are an adult, if you want to jump in a puddle you go jump in a puddle, you can always pretend it was an accident!
but be sure to know the difference between playing in a childlike way, and being childish, as adults to an awful lot of that too.

I like the fact that when you do childlike things for yourself, like go walk on the beach, or play in the rain, etc... you need no one to enjoy it with. You can do it yourself, and just relax by doing it lol.

i'm pleased you think its ok, redeemgurl.
i was thinking about this after i left my comment.
i think as adults being "playful" us a good thing. and its quite sad, but i think that adults who repress their playful side can actually be incredibly "childish" when they find themselves in a difficult situation.
so i think keeping in touch with our child like self is actually good for us.

Oh Redeemgurl! I know what are you feeling. I remember being that nostalgic when I had your age. You are passing a rough time. Because when you are 20th you have to build your future, so you get plain of stressing demands.
Be patience and work hard, I am sure that when you have my age, 38, you´ll feel as you were 20 years old, if you had reached your goals.
I remeber as you do, those great times playing in the rain!! OMG you made me remember all those great memories.
Yesterday I was in the cold pool with my daughter, of 13 years. I was just 5 minutes with her, because I was chilling... hahaha.
Take care!
Blessings!...
