BSN degree in nursing. How can you obtain the title?

For you guys who are knowledgable about this, I was just wondering how can you obtain the BSN degree? If you have completed a 4 year course in nursing do you automatically obtain the BSN degree? As RN is after you completer a state board exam.

I'm not sure how it works anywhere else, but where I am, you complete a 4 year university course for this. It's now mandatory in order to be a nurse. Before, you used to be able to take a 2 year college course to become a nurse.
