Some of us often pessimistic about "what religion actually benefit us?". Is not religion that was long? but why is peace, happiness or welfare still is an issue that is not inexhaustible.
Why religion can not become an integral tool of human and world peace?
Whether it actually can make religion can be a tool for peace?
Need You're opinion here.

It's in the name of religion that has created war and divided people. People are not respectful of other people's beliefs. The want everyone to be like them they want to convert people to their beliefs. Believe what I believe or get killed. I'm right and you're wrong. Where is the peace in that?

Since there are various kinds of religions all over the world, so it is too difficult for different people to accept the same religion. Everybody wants to others to obey his religion. So there will be arguments or even fights because of it. In fact most religions have good intentions and they all tell the people to be kind to each other. So why not we just try to accept the different religion?

Religion is ok if used properly, but somehow people lack of knowledge or plain stupid human get suck in into religion fanatics and hence most problem of the world is caused by religion.I don see atheist blowing themselves off.But maybe china communisima, and hitler are non religion people who cause world wars. But nowsday people are using religion to cause harm to others.

People tell us that 98% of all wars are caused through religion, how can it bring peace when it brings so much hatred, destruction and disharmony. It was religion and his beliefs that got Jesus murdered. It is amazing how we are taught to love thy neighbour on one hand but it appears only if they have the same religious beliefs.
This whole religious thing is man made, to control the masses. and it is not in the religious leaders benefit to have peace and lose control of the masses. They would lose too much wealth.

It could be. It should be. They strive to help people become better people and in doing that begin to care about others above themselves. Problem is, we still have selfish, gossipy, greedy people who also happen to be religious and some run their respective churches. Some of them use religion to hide the fact that underneath it all they are horrible people.I'm not saying all of them because i've known some selfless ones but at the end of the day we are not perfect and still only human. Some religions only focus on being the 'true church' and the one and only. If you look at the history of religion throughout the bible and other sources, it never has been used for peace, it actually has been used to justify war more often than not (e.g the crusades in the dark ages). I think the question is Can we make the human race better somehow? Probably not, so therefore relying on them to use their respective religions as tools for peace is probably not going to work. I know i'm cynical but i don't have much faith in religions at the moment.

Having faith in a god or God or how one decides to practice really isn't the issue. It's when people decide that THEIR god or God is the right one that bad things can happen. And not all religions are that way; not all religious people are that way. I think that there is something about living selflessly - like the Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa that can inspire people. If you can give of yourself to that point where you have let go of your ego - that you aren't prideful in the acts you perform or the people you help then you can help others and the world.

People are too worried about what other people are doing and what other people believe. A lot of religious people think that everyone should be their religion; that everyone who doesn't share their beliefs or views is wrong or bad. I believe that if people stopped worrying so much about what other people are doing and focused on their own behaviors, then the world would be a much more peaceful place.

If only the professed religious people all over the world would realize how true are the words of Plato when he said, "You cannot teach a person anything. You can only help him find it within himself," the world would be a very peaceful place in contrast with what's happening right now. Religious people trying hard to convince other religious people to adopt their thinking and beliefs. With that, what can you expect? It's a sure formula for creating great troubles!
