What I love most about Baker King...

Filipinos really love watching tv dramas. Our afternoon and primetime tv are filled with it. Aside from our own telenovelas and series, we enjoyed foreign telenovelas (dubbed in the local language) from Mexico (Latin American), Japanese and Korean. It is a mix of culture that captivates viewers. Currently being shown but nearing its final episodes is the Korean telenovela entitled "Baker King". It has heavy drama and some comedy that will keep you watching everyday. But the best thing I love about it is its main character Tak Goo. He had been through a lot of injustices and sufferings. He got separated from his mother when his was 12 yrs old, beaten up, chased by goons who wanted to kill him which fortunately he was able to escape time and time again. But through it all he remained determined and continued to have a positive outlook in life. When he was asked how he managed to go through all his suffering and still smile his reply was "because he has to live". It made me realize that whatever tiding comes to us we will continue to live. It is our mind set in accepting everything that happen around us that determines if we can get through it or be wallowed in it. As with Tak Goo, he was able to overcome every obstacle in his life with his good heart, openness, determination and positive outlook in life.

Yes, although I don't watch this drama all the time- I love Tak Go too. I love his attitude and positive outlook in life. He also inspires the people around him. He is an inspiration to all that have big problems, to fight and follow your dreams.

I haven't watch TV anymore...How's Baker's King going on? I like it because Eugene is one of my favorite Korean actress. I guess, the story is nice and very dramatic. Maybe, I will watch some of the episode in youtube. Yes, you are right, the life of Tak Go is very inspiring.

yeah.. i quite agree. his strength and determination and to think positively have been an awakening for me, especially giving up on the girl he first loved [who ended up with his step brother]... it was really an entertaining and feel-good telenovela...[by the way, i just bought the dvd version and it took me a three days to finish the series! lol!]...

I also watch baker king.It shows how much he loves his mom and respects his father after all the hardship he has gone through. The main character is so forgiving to those who had hurt him emotionally and physically. I watched the whole episode on you tube twice, it is such a great story very inspiring.
