Okay so I need a little help. Normally I go to my aunts, friends, and other family members for this but I figured since this is a BIG community I could ask others. I need some new books to read. I'm pretty open to suggestions and types. I'll pretty much read any and all genres, but I will admit that romance novels are not my favorite. I've read sci-fi, thriller, romance, mystery, fantasy, etc. I'm weirdly addicted to reading and usually read a book everyday or two. So any help you guys can give with picks would be great.

If you do like fantasy then I'll recommend The Magic Kingdom of Landover series by Terry Books, The Dragon-King Trilogy by Stephen Lawhead, The Auralia Thread by Jeffery Overstreet, and Legend of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock. I'm a big fantasy reader, I typically don't read anything else. lol If you don't mind YA (Young Adult) fiction then I'd also recommend the Heir Trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima, The Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan, and The Books of Pellinor by Alison Croggon. Personally I'm not picky about who the book was written for... a good book is a good book, and I read children's, YA, and adult books indiscriminately.

To me it doesn't matter who the intended read is, young adult, kids or grown ups. I'll read anything for the most part. So thank you I'll check them out. I actually like fanatsy too so I'll pick one or two(possibly all of them) up the next time I got to the bookstore. So thank you!!!

I have been reading a great mystery series by JoAnne Carl. They are entitled a Chocoholic Mystery series. They are really good and I am not sure of how many are in the series, but I believe that I am on the fifth one. I really have enjoyed them. I believe that reading is a great way to learn about many different things and I enjoy reading, but I do not have time to read a book a day. I find that it takes me a week or more to read a book, but I try to read every day. Reading is a great asset to our learning ability. I have tried to instill a love of reading in my children, but neither one of them truly enjoy reading like I do.

My parents were big readers, both of them. So even when i was curled on the coach trying to make them watch my cartoons, they'd be reading there books. I hope when I do have kids they will enjoy reading as much as I do. I really believe that I'm addicted. I try to read everyday and usually do. I like learning and reading an getting lost in my books. Thanks for the new series to check out. I will definitely look into them, I'm due to go to the bookstore.

these books are not really considered "new".. eat, pray, love - which by the way really inspired to travel and to find that inner peace.. the kite runner - which is touching as well as giving life's lessons.. love in the time of cholera - love that truly lasts.. hope you try my suggestions and enjoy reading them just as i did! :))

I think that I would encourage you to start reading biographies of famous people and celebrities. This is what I have started doing and I can highly recommend it. I love reading other types of material too like horror and crime novels but mainly I have started focusing my mind on biographies and autobiographies. I think this is good as you are reading about real lives and how others have got on and conquered different challenges. This may not appeal to you, it certainly didn't appeal to me but now that I have tried and experienced it for myself I am hooked for life! I have just finished reading Cliff Richard's book and that was a very interesting read! I think that I would like to target Michael Jackson next and then perhaps Arnold Schwarzenegger, his surname is impossible to spell, don't know if I've got that right! Anyway, overall I love reading and it's definitely my favourite pastime. If I remember rightly there is a favourite book of mine called Once by James Herbert and that was a very good book, that's horror fiction and when I was turning the pages I was totally engrossed and could not put the book down. There, I think you have more than enough ideas to go on now. Good luck with your reading! Andrew
