This economy is not getting better. Many people are worse of today than they were one year ago. When all the money is gone, when all back ups, and safety nets are used up, what does a person do for money?

maybe work on a farm till one has enough money to start one's own farm.. then they don't have to earn money.. they can just eat their own food.. and sell the rest for shelter. otherwise, it takes creativity to start something up from scratch.. to start a business or something. it doesn't have to be a business but something that others will want to pay for. seeing what you are good at and using that is helpful.. if you are artistic, people will pay for your drawing, paintings, etc..

I say never let yourself get to that point where you are out of money. It would be really hard to get back up again, really when you are totally out of money.

I can answer this one, because that's where I am in life right now. We have no savings, no retirement plan left, no credit cards, and very little income. All of our bills are perpetually behind, and we have had to get rid of TV services, trash service, and anything else not necessary to basic living. The only reason we still have the internet is because I eaarn extra money online, and it is enough to pay for the internet and a little extra. I have started cooking everything from scratch, which becomes difficult when I have worked all day. Anything I don't absolutely need is being sold on eBay, including some things that were dear to me. I have sold all of my jewelry except my wedding rings. In one year, the poor economy has changed us from successful business owners to paupers. It has been extremely challenging to simply make sure I have enough gas in my vehicle to get to work. Counting change for the gas tank isn't much of an option with gas almost $4 a gallon. We have no children, so no help is available to us from the government. Bottom line, everything must be done the hard way, because that's the cheapest way. Eventually something major will happen, such as the car breaking down, or a major appliance stops working, and at that point we will have truly reached the bottom. Until then, we keep treading water and sinking ever so slowly.

My husband and I stay home and I got netflix instead of going and renting movies or going out to see a movie. And I love crafting so I have projects to keep my mind off money and always wanting to go out shopping. I still go once a week down to my favorite shop and eat a bagel and hot tea and make some time for me. Other than that I am fortunate enough to live by the ocean and it does not cost anything to sit on the beach or by the bay. Yesterday I found a huge condo that has very few customers and they have a lake in back. there were so many turtles I brought old bread and fed them. We need to go back to simple ways of life. Trust me you will start to enjoy it versus opening your wallet every 5 minutes to buy something. Good Luck to you with your money. I havent seen a raise in 2 years. and the way its going next year isnt looking too good either!

Look for a job, this time you don't need to be choosy on what kind of job to get as long as your getting paid its fine and another thing is you can find money from junks! you can sell those used magazines, newspapers, plastic bottles and everything that can be recycled.
