spaghetti is one of the most favorite dish my family and friends would loved me to prepare everytime there is a special occasions in our house. A mixture of sweetnes, spicyness, hotness and creamyness of the sauce which have loads of different ingredients minced beef, sausages, sweet ham, bacon, mushrooms, carrots and much more. the best thing about my sauce is when you put lots and lots of cheeze and/or fresh milk. and above all..liver spread. but the magic or this receipt will be completed with a dash of paprika and oregano. how about you, how do you like your spaghetti sauce to be?

Welcome to mylot, dhellick! I love many kinds of sauces for spaguetti. I made a post only the day before yesterday about a sugo a la puttanesca I was making while I was posting. Today, you reminded me that I have two big basil plants at the kitchen to make pesto for the freezer. I make big batches so I donĀ“t have to be cooking when company comes. I like any of the many sauces used for pasta. All are wonderful!!! I top them with parmesan cheese

I dont have a formal study or training in cooking, but I just started to read about different types of herbs for cooking and I will surely use basil one of this days. and yes, parmesan cheese is one of the best cheese to be used on top os each servings of spaghetti.

I love herbs in my different sauces. Oregano, basil, parsil, cilantro are some of them. I have a bay tree and always put a couple of bay leaves for the tomato based sauces.

I usually use two jars of regular spaghetti sauce (the garden vegetable kind) and then I add a little bit of chili powder, some cumin and some sugar in it. It's so good. My family likes it like that. Then I brown the hamburger meat and some onions and put that in the sauce. Then I cook the noodles and we serve that over the noodles. I don't always use the regular spaghetti noodles...I use whatever noodles I have on hand. I made spaghetti the other night using a different noodle. I can't remember the name of it but it kinda looks like the shape of a butterfly. My husband said he actually liked those noodles in it more the regular spaghetti noodles.

ready made spaghetti sauce is really not that bad, specially in times where a little ample time to preapre the dish is needed. so its really not bad at all. and i think you should start sneaking out in the kitchen everytime your mom cooks a spaghetti, once you elarn the basic, for your soon you will experiment on your own.

If you know a certain fast food named Jollibee that has a lot of branches here in the Philippines, I very much love their spaghetti sauce and I really tried experimenting their sauce from our kitchen but I failed to get the same taste. Their red sauce tastes sweet and creamy, with soft sliced sausages and cheddar cheese on them. Another sauce that I crave all the time is the marinara sauce from The Old Spaghetti House. I really wanted to experiment their recipe so I could do it at home. It helps save money.

I like my spaghetti robust in Ragu sauce flavor. I made a big baking pan of spaghetti last night. It came out perfect too! My spaghetti sauce was very tasteful. It has parmesan and romano cheese in it. It also had a full daily serving of vegetables too. The tomato sauce was very nutritious too.

wow. is that your own made recipe? or do the restaurants around your place serves them too? is it famous in your place? tomato sauce is really nutritious indeed because it contains licophene that is both good in our hearts and our skin. I haven't taste also the romano cheese. wow it really made me think that i really need to travel a lot or research a lot. thanks for sharing cream97.

I prefer the Italian style (wherein there is really the taste of tomato and lots of cheese) over the Filipino style (which is sweet). I like the taste of the italian sauce especially when the pasta is still a bit al dente. Really good!

For a basic red sauce, not too spicy for marinara with a pince or two of sugar to balance the acid of the tomatoes. For a meat sauce, also, the same. For an Alfredo sauce, lots of cheese and creamy. I also like mushrooms in marinara sauce. I like a pink sauce also.

Oh, I so love to taste your spaghetti. They way you describe it, it's so tasty already. My mom used to cook same ingredients as yours before when we were still at our teenage years. My mom loves cooking and loved to try on different ingredients advise and over heard from friends and by the time she cooked it, it will be very palatable. By your description I now know why your family and friends love what you prepare for them.

hmmmm..... your topic makes me hungry. =) there were lots of spaghetti version in every country or certain places but for my sauce recipe, I simply combine UFC banana ketchup with two cans of spicy sardines (LIGO sardines) and put some chop Maling chinese luncheon meat. add some kangkong leaves and green pepper and lots of grind pepper and most important is the maggi magic sarap (1 sachet) and add your pasta and whoalllllla! dig in!! yum2x =)

Many members of my family have different tastes when it comes to spaghetti sauce. My children like the stre bought sauces just fine. My mother always has to sweeten hers with a little sugar. My late husband used to like adding some different spices for a bolder flavor. Sauce is not just sauce anymore. it's a culinary delight!

My wife makes the best spaghetti sauce ever. I really do not know her secrets but It is on the sweeter side. She mixes both ground pork and beef in the right amounts which makes it so tasty. It also has the distinct flavor of basil in it.
