I honestly feel bad when some of my posts are not answered by mylotters. I feel like they ignore me or my post is nonsense. But this does not happen often. I just hate it when I need an immediate answer to my query yet no one answers. How about you, have you felt the same in mylotting?

Hi there reco13!:-) Honestly, I don't feel bad at all. You know why? It is because, that's just the way it is. Some people find your post relevant for them, but sometimes they just don't seem to relate to it and ergo do not respond to it. Just be calm and cool about it. Life is too short to be stressed by your posts left unanswered. Smile! :-)

First, don't feel bad, maybe it's just not time when someone pass through your post. For me, it sometimes happened and yet at first it got me frustrated or sad as well, but when I got used to the flow of communication here in mylot, I learned to understand such situation. First, just like me, when I'm browsing the topics, I'm choosing those I know I could share my opinion, or views that would be of benefits not only for writer of the issue but for those who will read my opinion as well. Since then, I learned to consider the situation that not everybody could relate to our written topics. So just keep on trying and find topics that will be a eyecatcher and that seems to be everybody could relate on. If you don't feel to write for having that fear or thought of being ignored, divert to responding to others' written topics. And it is also nice to feel, if your response would be labelled as best response. That would inspires you as well to have more ideas on what to write. Don't let frustration ruin your passion in writing and sharing. Good luck and happy mylotting. reco.

A bit disappointed though but I look at it on the bright side, maybe my topic is not catchy or maybe I have given all the facts which others could have agree. Not too interesting to talk about.I notice too that most topics that do get more responses is under the questions & answers topic. My observation only...

There you are my friend. You have a lot of respond now right.
Same with you, i feel bad when i find that no one respond to my discussion. I will think is it because of my topic is nonsense or stupid. That why i seldom create a new topic. I prefer to respond to others.

I have and had those feelings too. But I try not to let things like that bother me now. I had even stopped posting discussions and just did responses. Now I have a Facebook page, and it is happening there too. So I just do a little committing on other people posts. Because no one hardly ever comment on mine.

Don't feel bad.
It happens when you posted the topic during time that only few mylotters are online or active.
Or sometimes,so much mylotters are active and new topics are being posted every now and then and mylotters can't pick what's topic to respond first.
just keep posting and enjoy mylot...don't take it badly my friend..
hope this hug will give some assurance

One has to learn to live with this. There is a certain user here who will comment on each and every response except mine. But I continue to respond to that user's topic and if that user has a conscience soon this scenario will change.

I think I only have very few which didn't generate reactions.I am not sure, but I ones that had one reply only and it is because the discussion was just an inquiry about something here in myLot.
Don't feel bad about it, we don't expect how much our discussion will interest others, but I think the most important is we post our discussion with the aim of interacting with others and not just for the heck of posting one.

Hi there, None of my discussions have gone unanswered. But i can see lots of unanswered discussions here in MyLot. Sometimes, i aim to answer only those discussions that are unanswered. People might not answer a discussion because it might be totally irrelevant or may be abusive. I don't know what happened in your case.

Yes, I feel bad when they just ignore my posts here in mylot. As if my posts can't relate to many people. Or is it just a dumb question. The same with Facebook. I've read a news in yahoo about too much Facebooking can give you depression. Because you feel bad when you post something what's on your mind and no one's paying attention. You have hundreds of friends on your friend lists who viewed your posts and they just ignore it. It's depressing.

You are probably stating too much facts or saying too much truths that most mylotters are conditioned not to accept. Always consider it a sign of intellectual superiority when your posts are ignored here on Mylot!

Hi reco,
How it could feel when your discussion does not get any response from myloters, I just can feel as it has never happened to me. In my three years' stay at mylot minimum 8 to 120 responses I have got and when you get good number of response to your discussion it feels nice.
So that your post never goes unresponded you have to increase the friends who are more active. Another thing is that try to make the title of the discussion a catchy one.
Hope you would never have this happened to you again.

There are four posts of mine which are still unanswered after a month from its posting. I think the topics which I have posted might not be interesting. i don't feel embarrassed by that but I try to post more interesting topics which appeal to the people.

Yes, I have had a few posts unanswered too. But look on the bright side, they are much less likely to be deleted. I hate that most! You have a good topic going, then someone posts something naughty (which you didn't even see) and the whole thing gets deleted. That really gets you down.

Well, it depends. I just made a post and I only expected a few people to response but it received 5 replies. Not bad since I was only expecting 1 or 2.
However, there are times when I make, what I think is, a good topic but no one replies. That for me is just disappointing.
Oh well! It's not like I can force them to reply.

I haven't been here very long and haven't yet started discussions but now that you mentioned this, I think I will go look up unanswered discussions and reply to them. Thanks for the idea...
