I love when it is time to lay down and sleep..however we cannot sleep for so long..I know that we have to sleep at least 8 hours a day so our body will be able to go back to work after that. I love sleep..so bad..If I could sleep all day (I mean in my off days...)I would do that.
However if we want to be sucessful in something we have to work..and work really hard to reach our goals and if we sleep all the our free time I don't think that we would be able to do it.
I sleep around 5 to 6 hours a day..and you?
thanks for share!

Well we all love sleep and the 5-6 hours daily that you get is good. Something you may not know is that people with higher IQ's or more active brains actually sleep less and go to bed later. This sounds like yourself, sounds like you have a very active brain, so like you said you need to work to have success and sounds like you are on the right path.

Same with you. I sleep 5-6 hours a day. But definitely will sleep more during weekend.
But i have tried to sleep for 8 hours per day everyday for the whole week but i still feel that i was easily get tired. Thats why i think its not about how many hours we sleep per day, but its about what time we sleep.
After that, i tried to sleep 9-10 pm everyday and i feel very good and full of energy the next day.

I do like to sleep, and I can tell if I have not had enough as I catnap after I get off work sometimes. My wife and I do not sleep together much anymore, she says the bed is not big enough, so usually I hit the couch. I usually sleep 4-5 hours a night.

Hi. kwylima. I am getting at least six to seven hours of sleep each night. Very soon, I will be able to get an extra two hours more. I will be so glad when I can get some more rest! I really do enjoy sleeping especially when I am extremely exhausted! When I sleep, I feel refreshed and ready to start a new day!

I sleep around 7 to 8 hours a day and I think that is the best hours of sleep for me. Indeed we can't sleep all the day for that will render us useless. We can't be just like Sleeping Beauty but we can sleep enough to gain beauty.

I'm the same, about 5-6 hours, but technically the optimum amount of sleep is supposed to be 8 hours. Dont worry too much about it though. Unless you're weary and lethargic in the day time and you're not getting ill, you probably can get away with the amount of sleep you're currently getting. Sleep in on your days off to make up for it! :)

I usually sleep for about 7 hours a nigt, that's enough to make me feel ready for another day of work, but even in weekeends when I usually go to bed after midnight I wake up at around 8 o'clock,so I think it's enough, even if there are days when I'd rather sleep than go to work, but of course I don't do that.Anyway,6 0r 7 hours is enough to make you feel good the next day,I guess.

A average human being needs about seven hours of sleep. However incase the person is doing a lot of physical labour then his sleep timings may exceed. The problem comes when the office goers who do not do that much physical work but are stressed out due heavy metal pressure also will need a lot of sleep and when they do they start putting on weight.I normally sleep 7 hours day and around 9 hours on weekends.

I love sleeping, but I have a hard time going to bed. Then in my attempt to not waste the day away sleeping, I set my alarm to get up at a somewhat decent time, which leaves me almost always lacking sleep. Somewhat ironic, I suppose.
The main reason I like sleeping (besides of course for the purpose of getting rest and not feeling so tired) is dreaming. I love dreams, and most of the time I have good dreams, so I usually look forward to it, and to being able to escape reality. I need to start getting more sleep.. I usually get around 5-8 hours a day, but I've heard that teens around my age need 9 1/4 hours. There are just not enough hours in the day (or night), are there?

But you can't work at night, you should sleep at least 8 hours. I work very hard every single day, but I work at home, maybe that's a good thing. And as I'm working too much, I need being awake and rested to can improve my working hours. I don't care how much I have to work, until I haven't slept 8 hours, I won't wake up.
Sleep at least 8 hours is a VERY good idea and is essential, doesn't matter how much you have to work, then a good and healthy breakfast and you're ready to work, and maybe you will work even better.

Well, I suppose I could say that I do love sleep but when I think about it I have to sleep anyway whether I like it or not otherwise my health would start to deteriorate quite rapidly! I try to go for the eight hours but this isn't always easy particularly when I am focusing my mind on a good late night horror movie! Those horror movies always come on quite late and I have to tune in! I'm left feeling very tired and drained afterwards though and I then suddenly realise it's time to hit the sack!
I'm amazed at how you are able to get by on five or six hours of sleep! Are you not exhausted at times? I used to work nights once upon a time and I was totally exhausted as I was finding that I was not able to get to sleep during the day as a result of workmen using their drills and so forth. As things stand I think I get a reasonable amount of sleep these days and I'm pretty content with that. Andrew

I like to sleep but not just sleep anytime I want. What I meant is the sleeping time at night. I wish I could sleep about 6 - 7 hours sstraight each night but I can't because my baby wakes me up at night. I think it is better to have about 7 hours of sleep in average for an adult.

Oh yes I like to sleep when it is time to sleep (^_^). Knowing sleeping is when our body recharged, I look forward to it in the evening. I sleep at an average of 6 hours everyday and my body clock is used to wake me up at about 5am everyday.
Just as how much we need to work, sleeping is necessary too, for during this time that we reserve the energy we need to keep up with our busy day.

Sleeping more than what is required for everyone's age bracket makes one lethargic. When you wake up from oversleeping, you will feel so sluggish.
If you are a teen- ager , you will need at least 8 hours of sleep. But if you are older, 7 hours or elss is already enough.
My body tells me that 7 hours is enough for me. Six hours would mean i would be too sleepy to work well at the office.
