T20 was touted as One Day International killer. But it seems with a successful world cup and a less than impressive T20 2011,for once the One Day International format has been saved. But for how long? I dont think the doom of ODI cricket and Test cricket is far away.

I don't agree with you eyeopener. No one format of cricket can kill another format. All formats have got their own place in the popularity. As you have pointed out it was believed that T20 is going to kill O.D.I. but recent success of the world cup has proved the dooms day predictors wrong so also the success of last test series of India with South Africa in South Africa and with Australia in Australia similarly the recent Ashes series in Australia has proved beyond doubt that the test cricket is there to stay with us as long as cricket is played in this world.

The example you giving involves INDIA as INDIA is on the winning roll so people think of all format including the test matches. Even though you will see less crowd in test as well as ODI. If you notice to other cricket playign nation then you will come to know that t20 is killing both test and ODI. T20 is good as people can get more excitement than in test or ODI as well as save the time.

Yes, it is. Actually the ODI alone was not much capable of killing tests but inclusion of Twenty-20 is doing a great job. Actually where a test needs 5 days to finish whereas it most of the times don't produce a result but ODI and T20 do. Moreover an ODI needs 8 hours and T20 needs three and half hours. The flows of fours and sixes are more available and players go for attack where in test they ise to defend to stay for longer period. The tests need patience of the spectators but other two gives excitements. Plus we get more colours like coloured dresses, cheerleaders (in twenty 20 only) and so on in the limited over games. So in need of saving test matches ICC needs something different like starting Tests World Cup, some rules changes in order to prevent slow run rates and so on.
