What is the difference between Harry Potter and God?
NOTHING. both are works of fiction that are grossly over rated. Do you think people get into these books way to much? religious nuts are like 2,000 year old trekies, SAD!
your opinion would be similar. if not, why?

How do you know the God is a work of fiction? What is your evidence?

I was expecting that response, though not "she". Why do you non believers always answer my question with a juvenile evasion?
To answer your question, science has proven God. History has proven God. Fulfilled prophecy has proven God. Creation has proven God. We have moral laws, therefore, we must have a moral law giver. Just the fact that you non believers have, throughout the ages, tried to disprove God and have not been able, should tell you HE is real. Now could you or anyone answer my question without, "Oh ya prove it?" Will you give any answer to prove there is no God?

OK, let's try to avoid juvenile evasion. I guess the opening question should be what god are we speaking of? Are we talking about the Abrahamic god or one of the other gods of the many parthenons of god's that exist on this planet.
How and when his science proven god. This is news to me and I would be quite happy if you would enlighten me.
Fulfilled prophecy? Something else I am not aware of. Creation has not been proven so how in the world has a proven god?
Chimpanzees have moral behavior which respond to rules within their society. Is there a chimpanzee moral law giver?
I am not necessarily a non believer. I just do not believe in your chosen concept of a god.
Why give you an answer to prove there is no god. If you are claiming the existence of a supreme being it should be quite simple to prove the existence.

I have noticed it has become quite popular for atheists to bash on the religious. Pompous, ignorant comments can come from both sides, but it doesn't prove anything to the favor of either side, except that humankind has a hard time dealing with the fact that not everyone is going to agree all the time.

The primary difference is that Harry Potter is a novel written by a single author to entertain while the Bible is a collection of folklore and myths compiled over time for mostly political purposes.

We really cant mix up fiction and non fiction. We all know what they have in harry potter is not true. What you have in tee bible are things that happened before and things that you can learn from, we cant deny that. What we get from harry potter is something that cannot help us. Even if let's say that you memorize all the spells, nothings going to work. lol

When it comes to religion we can argue all day long and we would never agree with what others have to say because everybody has their own opinions about God. What makes me sad is that people don't see that a religion was invented to find the answers to what we don't known. Somebody say, what happens when we die? and somebody made the concept of heaven and hell. Nobody is right or wrong. When the time comes for us we will find what comes after this life. In the mean time everything is the product of our imagination, like books.
